Kim Myung-soo and Kang Min-ah stop at Cha Min-ji's harsh words, as past tragedies...
Preview for episode 6 of the drama 'Cell'. As Cha Song-hwan's opposition and the truth behind the past accident are revealed, the relationship between Cha Eun-hwan and Yu Ji-an fluctuates.
Lifetime weekend drama 'Cell' is heightening dramatic tension as tragic past events collide with present-day romance. In the 6th episode, scheduled to air on the 19th at 10:50 PM, Cha Eun-hwan (played by Kim Myung-soo) and Yu Ji-an (played by Kang Min-ah) face chilling opposition from Cha Song-hwan (played by Cha Min-ji) regarding their relationship.
Through the previous 5th episode, the two protagonists closed the emotional distance between them by sharing their respective traumas. Cha Eun-hwan went to a filming site carrying the respirator his father used to use, only to be involved in an unexpected accident. In the process, Cha Eun-hwan's father lost his life while trying to save a child left at the scene, and his older sister, Cha Song-hwan, ended up losing her leg. After hearing this painful story, Yu Ji-an comforted Cha Eun-hwan with a hug, and the two confirmed their feelings for each other with a kiss.
Cha Song-hwan's Appearance and Sharp Verbal Attacks
With the appearance of Cha Song-hwan, the relationship between the two has hit a sudden reef. Having visited the hospital due to an accident at home in the middle of the night, Cha Song-hwan waited anxiously for her younger brother, Cha Eun-hwan, while worrying about the condition of her daughter Ha-yul (played by Go Ju-ni). When Cha Eun-hwan appeared with Yu Ji-an, Cha Song-hwan's expression turned cold. She unleashed sharp verbal attacks toward Yu Ji-an, revealing strong hostility. Yu Ji-an was bewildered by the unexpected resentment, and Cha Eun-hwan stepped in to calm his sister's anger.
A Familiar Face in the Family Photo and the Emerging Truth
Yu Ji-an visited Cha Eun-hwan's house to find out why Cha Song-hwan is so hostile toward her. In the process, Yu Ji-an sees the family photo of Cha Eun-hwan and his sister, falling into confusion as she discovers a familiar face in the picture. Cha Eun-hwan hurriedly hid the photo to prevent Yu Ji-an from looking at it closely. There is a high possibility that Yu Ji-an will remember that the person who saved her life during her child actor days was Cha Eun-hwan's father.
Emotional Transfer Setting and the Wall of Reality
'Cell' is a romantic comedy that depicts the process of a woman who rejects the "underdog" position and a man who takes on the "underdog" role understanding each other's worlds through the surreal setting of 'emotional transfer.' Previous episodes depicted the issues of 'counter-transference' experienced by characters with emotional transfer abilities, as well as the resulting misunderstandings and pressure from public opinion. Cha Eun-hwan showed devotion by signing a formal manager contract to help Yu Ji-an's comeback and visiting Director Moon Kyung-sik to create an opportunity for a supporting role audition. The production team stated that Cha Eun-hwan is struggling due to his feelings for Yu Ji-an in the face of Cha Song-hwan's intense opposition.
