The Netflix original variety show 'I'm a Solo but I Want to Date' Season 2 (hereafter referred to as Solo Love 2) was unveiled on the 7th. It is a makeover reality show capturing the first dating challenges of "solo-from-birth" individuals who have no dating experience but possess a passion for love that is hotter than anyone else's. In episodes 1–4 released today, the tense first meetings and clumsy dating processes faced by the participants for the first time in their lives unfolded at a rapid pace.

The cast of this season has distinct personalities. Jaeseo, who drew attention in the pre-release video with his white hair and white beard visual, caught eyes with his appearance after hair removal. Among the female cast, Seoyoon, known to be a fan of NCT Dream's Jisung, and Hyeonseo, who enjoys manga fandom, were listed. The male cast includes Jaeseo, along with Jeongyun, Seunghyun, Hyeokjun, and Jinwoo.

Potter Suji, who appeared on the first night, instantly changed the atmosphere of the show. Appearing with an innocent look, Suji drew admiration from the male cast, who asked, "Why is she a solo?" The female cast members also expressed bewilderment at her appearance, saying, "I was nervous because she's so pretty," and "She's the epitome of femininity, so I feel threatened."

The reactions from the MCs leading the program's flow are also intense. MC Lee Eun-ji jokingly lamented about the relentless schedule, saying, "I'm so busy I might get a canker sore." Regarding the unexpected variables from the cast, Car, the Garden exclaimed, "The 'catfish' (newcomers) are actually playing their part this time." The 'some-makers' (matchmakers), including Seo In-guk and Kang Han-na, also agreed that this season is "beyond expectations."

The production team chose 'character' and 'catfish' as the key keywords for this season. PD Kim No-eun mentioned the 'Solo Battle' with strong characters and the powerful raid of the catfish as the viewing points for episodes 1–4. PD Won Seung-jae asked viewers to watch why these new solos haven't been able to date until now and to look forward to their changes.

As Season 1, released last July, gained popularity by entering the Netflix Global Top 10 Non-English TV Shows category, expectations for this Season 2 are also high. 'Solo Love 2' consists of a total of 10 episodes, starting with episodes 1–4 released today (7th), followed by episodes 5–6 on the 14th, 7–8 on the 21st, and 9–10 on the 28th. The reversal drama of the solos will continue every Tuesday for the next four weeks on Netflix.
