Seventeen's Dino makes his debut on National Singing Contest with his alter ego 'Pi-Cheol-In'

'Pi-Cheol-In's' First Official Debut Stage Rocks Gyeongju Jjoksaem District

Seventeen's youngest member, Dino, is taking his first step before the public as his new persona, 'Pi-Cheol-In.' In the Gyeongju, Gyeongsangbuk-do episode of KBS 1TV's 'National Singing Contest,' airing on July 12 at 12:10 PM, Dino will grace the closing stage as his alter ego 'Pi-Cheol-In.'

'Pi-Cheol-In' is a character Dino created to communicate more closely with the public through music. Armed with sly charm and overflowing energy, Pi-Cheol-In announces his first official debut through this Gyeongju stage. On-site, Pi-Cheol-In sang his debut song 'Michyeo Michyeo' (Crazy, Crazy) passionately, breathing with the audience through his joyful energy.

The special stage in the Gyeongju Jjoksaem District, where this broadcast is being held, will feature 16 finalist teams showcasing various talents. The stage will continue with performances ranging from traditional musicians singing folk songs that capture the essence of the historical city of Gyeongju, a UNESCO World Heritage site, to performances combining Korean dance with aerobics, and participants demonstrating Gayageum Byeongchang skills.

KBS 1TV's 'National Singing Contest' is the longest-running variety show in Korea that has been with viewers for 46 years and is the original national participation-style audition program. Episode 2173, broadcast last week, recorded a 6.7% nationwide viewership rating according to Nielsen Korea, ranking first in its time slot.

Surprise Love Call from Hitmaker Duo 'Algoboni Honsusangtae' and a Foretold Encounter

Dino's transformation even caught the attention of the hit-making composing duo 'Algoboni Honsusangtae.' Kim Kyung-beom, who produced hits such as Young Tak's 'Jjin-iya,' Park Hyun-bin's 'Shabang Shabang,' and Suzy's 'Don't Forget Me,' revealed a surprise meeting with Pi-Cheol-In through his personal channel.

On the 11th, Kim Kyung-beom wrote on his personal channel, "I heard this person is the global star 'Pi-Cheol-In (Seventeen Dino)'... I heard the debut song in advance, and it was so good." He followed up with a witty love call, saying, "If there's an opportunity, let's aim for the Billboard charts with the second 'Jjin-iya'."

Miss Kim will boost the excitement with 'Yeopguri,' and Kang Moon-kyung will sing 'Nun Tteugo Itneun Han' passionately.

'Trot Fairy' Oh Yu-jin will open the stage with 'Some.' Following her, 'Emotional Trot Diva' Yoon Tae-hwa will perform 'Last Stop,' and Miss Kim will continue the stage with 'Yeopguri.' Kang Moon-kyung will passionately sing 'Nun Tteugo Itneun Han.'

Stages for the 16 finalist teams are also prepared. From traditional musicians singing folk songs to performances combining Korean dance and aerobics, and participants showing Gayageum Byeongchang skills, the residents of Gyeongju will present various stages.
