Shinji, unable to undergo InBody testing, with her weight dropping to 42kg
Koyote's Shinji was judged unable to undergo an InBody test due to a lack of muscle mass. With her weight dropping to 42.9kg and a physical age diagnosis in her 50s, she has started exercising with PT support from her husband Moon-won.
"It's amazing that I can even walk"... Shinji, whose InBody score couldn't even be calculated
Shinji, a member of the group Koyote, received an 'unmeasurable' verdict from her body composition test. Due to an extreme lack of muscle mass, the device was unable to even calculate a score. Shinji shared this shocking update through her YouTube channel 'How are you Shinji?!?' on the 15th.
In the video, Shinji expressed her embarrassment at the time, saying, "When they said it's amazing that I can even walk, I thought, 'I guess it really is serious.'" Although she believed she had sufficient stamina and strength to perform on stage, the objective figures were entirely different. After confirming that she had so little muscle that an InBody score could not be generated, Shinji decided to commit to serious health management.
This physical condition is linked to recent rapid weight changes. Last May, Shinji confessed through her YouTube channel that her weight had dropped to 42.9kg for a height of 164cm. She revealed that she lost weight abnormally while going through processes such as wedding preparations, which led to her poor physical condition.
Husband Moon Won's PT gift, personally selecting a trainer for his wife's health
The first to act regarding Shinji's health red flag was her husband, Moon Won. Shinji, who married the singer Moon Won, who is seven years younger, this past May, recently started exercising with her husband's help. Moon Won personally paid for PT (Personal Training) for his wife's health.
Moon Won did not just pay for it; he even personally selected the trainer to instruct Shinji. He said, "I visited many gyms and met various teachers, and I felt that this person was energetic and encouraging, so I thought I could trust them with my wife." Moon Won is putting his heart into his wife's health recovery.
Moon Won's care continued even after the workout. At the end of the video, he was seen preparing protein-focused snacks for Shinji. Moon Won emphasized the importance of health management, telling Shinji, "You are exercising just to stay alive." Shinji also showed her determination to continue consistent management through the PT lessons gifted by her husband.
Scapula pain and lack of back muscles... The trainer's warning
At the gym where the full-scale training began, Shinji underwent a physical function check test. While performing functional stretching for the scapula (shoulder blade) under the guidance of a professional trainer, Shinji complained of pain in the scapula area.
The trainer's diagnosis was grave. The analysis was that because the strength to move the shoulder blades was not functioning properly, the burden was being transferred entirely to her waist. In particular, since her back muscles were also extremely lacking, the structure made it inevitable that her waist would be strained if she could not use her shoulder blades properly. The trainer advised that it is urgent to learn how to use muscles correctly to supplement the lacking muscle mass.
Dietary issues were also pointed out. Shinji usually eats only one or two meals a day at most. The trainer warned that if she continues to exercise while maintaining such a small amount of food intake as she does now, instead of gaining muscle, she might actually lose even more body fat. Shinji showed signs of being flustered, saying, "I shouldn't lose more fat right now."
Physical age at the level of someone in their 50s... A challenge toward health recovery
Shinji's current health status goes beyond simple underweight. As a result of the previously conducted 8-constitution test, Shinji was diagnosed with a physical age at the level of someone in their 50s. With extremely low muscle mass and a rapid drop in weight, red flags have been raised for her overall physical functions.
Starting her exercise, Shinji showed her willpower, saying, "Didn't I say I'll do it if I say I'll do it?" While joking that she couldn't remember because it had been so long since she went to the gym, she mentioned that this was already her third workout and expressed her determination to manage her health consistently. When the production team asked if there would be a change in about two months, Shinji replied, "Don't expect it to happen that quickly."
