Singer and actor Kim Dong-jun has finally fulfilled a promise made ten years ago by taking the stage alongside singer Young Tak. During the second part of KBS 2TV's 'Immortal Songs - 2026 King of Kings,' aired on the 25th, the two delivered a special narrative that went beyond a simple collaboration, leaving the audience in tears.

The song they chose was DAY6's 'Time of Our Life.' Explaining his choice, Kim Dong-jun said, "It was exactly what we wanted to say. The song contains the story we wanted to tell each other." At the beginning of the performance, the two exchanged lines—"Hyung, do you remember that promise?" and "Of course"—conveying their decade-old vow to the audience. It served as a device to showcase their relationship beyond just singing a song.

Kim Dong-jun's Tears at the End of the Stage

The chemistry between the two on stage was solid. Their sincere voices and synergy, born from long-standing friendship, drew thunderous applause from the audience. After finishing the song, Kim Dong-jun could not hold back his emotions and shed tears. Reflecting on the moment, he said, "I was overwhelmed. While singing, it felt like our eyes were saying, 'We are actually doing this.'"

Kim Dong-jun continued, his eyes reddening, "My heart feels warm because I was able to keep the promise I've held onto for ten years." The moment they confirmed the fulfillment of their promise through each other's eyes on stage resonated deeply with him.
