Judo athlete who dreamed of being an idol, encounters the path of 'Chang' through SM's suggestion
The participant appearing on this broadcast revealed an anecdote about going to an SM Entertainment audition while dreaming of being an idol in the past. He stated that at the audition site at that time, he received a suggestion from a manager saying, "Listening to your voice, you should do 'Chang' (traditional singing)." Although he was hurt because it was different from the direction he pursued in his childhood, he shared a special reason for requesting this menu, saying that the fried meat he ate at that time provided great strength.

Having active as a judo athlete, he began earnestly taking over his father's makgeolli family business from the winter of 2012. While enduring the grueling daily routine of having to wake up at 2 AM to start work to learn the family business, he is now moving toward a new goal of becoming a trot singer beyond makgeolli production. He recalled that his dream of becoming a singer began when, during his hospitalization following a finger amputation accident in the second grade of elementary school, he gave laughter to other patients by singing along to the songs of singers on TV.
"Must prepare 5 killer songs"... Realistic advice from seniors
Ahead of the stage of the son who dreams of being a singer, senior singers present at the scene gave realistic advice to the junior preparing for the audition. The seniors emphasized that "if you want to go to the finals, you must prepare more than 5 killer songs," highlighting that one must have prepared songs before others succeed first. They also mentioned the importance of song selection and storytelling, advising that the core is to find a song that contains one's own life.
In particular, one senior recommended a song that connects with the participant's situation, saying, "I hope you find the song 'A Glass of Makgeolli' and take the preliminary audition." He continued with encouragement, saying, "There were many ups and downs during the 20 years after debut, but those ups and downs are contained in the songs, leading to better results," and that if one holds on without giving up, good days will surely come.
