Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin: The commonality between a 'Sloth' and a 'Homebody' is "Both are homebodies"

Actors Kim Young-kwang and Chae Soo-bin created a friendly atmosphere by sharing their similar tastes. In a video released by Netflix Korea, the two gathered to promote their new work 《Recharge Me》, revealing not only stories about the project but also their private daily lives and tastes without reservation.

"Lying down is the best" Chae Soo-bin's 'lying-down lifestyle' and Kim Young-kwang's 'MMA'

The two actors continued their conversation by revealing unexpected lifestyle patterns that differ from their outward images. Chae Soo-bin introduced herself as a 'lovely sloth,' saying she heard she resembled the sloth character Flash from the movie 《Zootopia》 early in her debut. She stated that while she enjoys yoga and ballet as hobbies, her favorite thing to do is 'lying down.' Chae Soo-bin added that on her days off, she mostly stays at home lying down, even enjoying a 'lying-down lifestyle' where she eats cereal and milk while lying in bed. She shared that she has a habit of eating cereal and watching videos while lying in bed rather than sitting up when she eats.

On the other hand, while showing a homebody side, Kim Young-kwang was also pursuing active hobbies. He revealed that he recently started learning MMA (Mixed Martial Arts). Having been introduced to martial arts during his high school years, he started exercising to prepare for his next project, and mentioned that he is interested not only in watching combat sports but also in physically engaging in them. Kim Young-kwang admitted to having a 'homebody' tendency similar to Chae Soo-bin, stating that he often lies leaning against a sofa while waiting on the filming set.

From pet owners to space conspiracy theories, diverging interests

Their affection for pets was also shared. Kim Young-kwang revealed that he is raising a Maine Coon cat. He shared his concerns as an owner, saying that because the cat has a strong appetite, it has become a 'chubby cat' that grows wider sideways. Chae Soo-bin also revealed she is an owner of both a dog and a cat, sharing an anecdote about naming her pets. Chae Soo-bin explained that she named them 'Hak-gu,' who has short hair, and 'Mata,' a Jindo mix she brought from a shelter.

Differences appeared in terms of their interests. Kim Young-kwang showed deep interest in stories related to space. He mentioned space conspiracy theories, such as the idea that the human race on Earth committed a sin and was trapped in human bodies, explaining that the story of the related video is very solid. In contrast, Chae Soo-bin replied that she is more interested in documentaries dealing with realistic incidents and accidents rather than space. In particular, she shared her experience of being immersed in a story about the end of a specific lion in a documentary dealing with the ecology of a pride of lions.

From chaebol roles to driving action, the spectrum of actors seen through their filmographies

The two actors looked back at their respective filmographies and shared their acting experiences. Kim Young-kwang mentioned that he has played various chaebol roles over time, explaining that he has built characters by adding detailed differences for each work. In particular, he revealed behind-the-scenes details of performing intense driving action himself in his recent work 《Drigger》. He expressed his passion for acting by mentioning situations where intense driving was required by the script.

Chae Soo-bin recalled the tension during her theater stage debut. She recalled the shocking experience of being so nervous that her legs trembled ahead of her first performance around the age of twenty. She then picked 《Killing Eve》 as a work she found impressive on Netflix recently, mentioning the fun provided by the unique characters. Kim Young-kwang mentioned 《Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade》 as a work he recently watched on Netflix, expressing excitement for stories dealing with adventure.
