2026 MAMA Countdown Begins: What Was the Result of ALPHA DRIVE ONE's 'Alien Invasion' Mission?

The curtain has risen on the MAMA AWARDS. Mnet has started the countdown for this awards ceremony, which will be held over two days on November 20 and 21, 2026, at Kyocera Dome Osaka in Japan, selecting ALPHA DRIVE ONE as the first protagonist.

Teamwork Test within the 'Music Interstellar' Theme

The 2026 MAMA AWARDS has unveiled the slogan 'MOVE THE STARS, A MUSIC INTERSTELLAR'. In accordance with this theme, which signifies a special journey swimming between the stars of music across time and space, ALPHA DRIVE ONE took on a teamwork test to travel safely to the awards ceremony site.

The mission was conducted in a way where two members spun a rope and the remaining five joined in sequence. The rule was to succeed by all entering inside the rope while sequentially naming K-POP titles related to a given keyword. However, ALPHA DRIVE ONE increased the tension as they struggled to find the correct answers during three attempts. The members experienced mishaps caused by the leader's weight or physical movements while joining the rope, and showed signs of struggling as their order got tangled during the process of guessing the keywords.

Ultimately, having missed all three opportunities, ALPHA DRIVE ONE was placed in a situation where they faced aliens according to the setting of 'being captured by aliens' due to mission failure. The members signaled the start of the countdown by performing a playful role-play, showing their energy to the aliens to persuade them so they could head toward the MAMA stage.
