Lucky, a veteran farm guardian, prevented a potential accident by discovering a constricting rat snake and minimized damage to chili pepper fields by deterring water deer.

On a mountain slope covered in lush midsummer greenery, the peaceful morning at the farm begins with the footsteps of Lucky, a dog who never lets his guard down. Lucky prevents danger by finding a snake; farm patrol checks for water deer intrusions

The farm's morning patrol begins with Lucky's sharp sense of smell. Upon being called, Lucky sprints to the scene immediately. In this area where wild animals frequently appear, Lucky is a veteran who already has a track record of catching grasshoppers. Lucky leads the way, sniffing and carving a path, while Daebak follows behind to assist with the patrol.

During the patrol, traces of a water deer visiting the chili pepper field during the night were discovered. Footprints and excrement from the water deer were left in the furrows, but damage was minimized thanks to Lucky barking and staying on guard all night. In contrast, Daebak receives glares from Lucky for conducting a "delayed patrol," rushing into the chili field only after the situation has concluded.

Lucky's keen senses particularly shone in a dangerous moment. While observing Lucky's reaction as he barked without reason toward the dense forest, a rat snake was actually discovered hiding on the ground. Although it was not a venomous snake, it is a species that attacks by constricting, meaning an accident could have occurred if not for Lucky's warning. Lucky received praise immediately after discovering the snake, while Daebak was scolded for having only napped after arriving late.

Special healthy meal prepared with low-salt Cheonggukjang and Lucky's parenting life

The farm's breakfast is prepared with cucumber cold soup freshly picked from the garden and savory Cheonggukjang stew. The mistress of the house, Jeong-in, uses doenjang and gochujang that she made herself, carrying a culinary tradition passed down through nine generations. The menu prepared for Lucky and Daebak is a special natural healthy meal made by mixing rice with fresh raw eggs and low-salt Cheonggukjang.

While Daebak, who has a strong interest in food, leads the meal, Lucky sits at the table only after finishing his duties, such as checking the perilla field. By silently fulfilling his role, Lucky proves why he is the favorite of the farm. Meanwhile, Lucky is also a mother caring for two-month-old puppies, leading a daily life where she cannot rest comfortably even during mealtime because she must look after her young.

The farm becomes a resting place for city friends; Lucky protects the abundant summer table

In the afternoon, Jeong-in's friends from Seoul visited the farm. For those exhausted by city life, the farm becomes the best meeting place. The friends show their sincerity by bringing dog treats as gifts to meet Lucky. Daebak, with his strong interest in food, becomes so absorbed in the treats brought by the friends that he cannot even respond.

Visitors enjoy their time picking fresh vegetables from the farm. Even during this process, Lucky maintains a state of alert, watching the surroundings to protect the guests. Thanks to Lucky's thorough guarding, the vegetables that grew well without damage from wild animals become the main characters of the dinner table. The farm's summer table, featuring pork belly, aged kimchi, and freshly picked wrap vegetables, is the result of Lucky's dedicated guarding.
