LUMINA releases new seasonal song featuring AI-generated music and illustrations

Artist LUMINA has released "To Me of That Day," a new song featuring lyrics by Byeolmorae that utilizes AI-generated music and illustrations to explore themes of loss and longing during the transition into autumn.

Music that connects the memories of past seasons with present emotions has been released. Artist LUMINA, working with lyricist Byeolmorae, has captured the sentiment of reminiscing about one's past self through the new song "To Me of That Day."

Musical colors changed by Byeolmorae's lyrics

A key feature of this new song is that it creates a different atmosphere from previous works, as Byeolmorae participated in writing the lyrics for the first time in a long while. Regarding this project, LUMINA expressed that the atmosphere has changed significantly and shared the hope that both sides will like it. The participation of lyricist Byeolmorae is seen as a major change in this work, as the emotional depth of the song shows a different texture than before. In addition to Byeolmorae's lyrics, the song was completed based on AI-generated music and illustrations. The components of the song include vocals by LUMINA (AI), AI-generated music, and AI-generated illustrations.

A record of exhausted hearts and days that cannot be returned to

The lyrics and message of the song deal with the sense of loss and longing felt during the changing of seasons. The background of the song is set in situations where seasons change several times after leaving behind the short words "Let's go next time," or a state of helplessness where one thought they were just a little tired, but suddenly cannot even think of a place they want to go. The lyrics melt in the emotions of moments when a past version of oneself, remembered by someone, feels more unfamiliar than the present self.

In particular, this song contains the heart of a time when one smiled, saying they wanted to see the sea. Rather than staying focused on looking at an unreturnable past, an emotion that encourages one to turn their gaze back to the window of today flows throughout the song. Through the moments of longing and parting felt when autumn arrives, the song musically shapes the comfort offered to one's past self. The transcribed lyrics express feelings such as the heart that waited for yesterday, or the emotion of longing every day when autumn comes because no one is by one's side, continuing the sentiment of a situation where one cannot return from a slightly exhausted state. Along with the feeling of longing every day when autumn comes, the lyrics contain the longing addressed to the "me" of that day.
