Minnie, regarding the invitation to a Thai resort, Yoo Jae-suk says, "When you're working..."
(G)I-DLE's Minnie drew attention on SBS 'Running Man' by revealing the Thai resort owned by her mother and inviting her fellow members.
"I'll pay for the accommodation" Minnie's generous invitation to a Thai resort
The SBS variety program 'Running Man,' aired on the afternoon of the 5th, was themed 'You'll get a windfall someday.' On this episode, (G)I-DLE members Miyeon and Minnie appeared as guests. Transformed into failed merchants, the members performed a race involving fruit farm and catering experiences to make a comeback.
During the race, Kim Jong-kook mentioned the public's 'Thai chaebol rumors,' saying, "I heard Minnie is very rich. They say she does singing as a hobby." Minnie burst into laughter and replied, "No, being a singer is my dream."
Minnie's proposal followed immediately. When Yoo Jae-suk asked about plans to visit Thailand, Minnie said she was going to Thailand at the end of this month and suggested, "Come visit our resort." The resort run by her mother is located in a rural area of Thailand, not Bangkok. Minnie even mentioned a specific filming location, saying, "'Running Man,' film it there. It would be great to do a Thailand special." She added that she would cover the accommodation costs, but when Ji Suk-jin asked if breakfast was included, she gave a realistic answer: "Food is provided, but as for the cost of the food..."
"She has multiple houses" Yoo Jae-suk turns 'gentle' at Miyeon's revelation
Minnie's wealth didn't end there. When Yoo Jae-suk asked Miyeon if she had ever been to Minnie's resort, Miyeon revealed, "I haven't been there yet either. But I have been to her house. She has multiple houses." The set buzzed at Miyeon's revelation.
Haha joked, "Now is not the time to be working." Yoo Jae-suk also teased Minnie, saying, "Minnie, now is not the time for you to be working. Send the photos we took together to your mother." Yoo Jae-suk showed an exceptionally gentle attitude toward Minnie while attempting to pitch the resort filming. Haha continued the resort talk, saying, "I felt attracted to Minnie because I heard she's rich."
Mystic Peach harvesting mission and mismatched daily wages
The members performed a mission to harvest mystic peaches. The rule was that the daily wage would be determined by their work attitude. Yoo Jae-suk and Song Ji-hyo earned the highest amount of 100,000 won. Song Ji-hyo skillfully picked peaches, saying, "If we do them one by one, let's do them sideways." Minnie and Miyeon received 50,000 won. Kim Jong-kook and Haha received 30,000 won, while Ji Suk-jin and Ji Ye-eun received 5,000 won. Ji Suk-jin said, "If it's 10 times, I'll get 50,000 won. I'm going to turn this around."
Afterward, the members made mulhoe (cold raw fish soup), mackerel, and mystic peach hotteok to have a meal. Haha, Yang Se-chan, and Miyeon played rock-paper-scissors to decide who would cook jajangmyeon, and the loser, Miyeon, paid for the noodles. Miyeon even bought ice cream. While Yang Se-chan was boiling water, Haha pretended to work while talking to Minnie. Kim Jong-kook discovered Yang Se-chan's group eating jajangmyeon behind the porch and joined them.
During the end of the race, Ji Suk-jin and Ji Ye-eun were revealed to be the 'water ghosts.' The members eliminated the water ghosts by throwing Ji Ye-eun into the pool and slapping Ji Suk-jin's bare soles five times. The race ended in a victory for the humans as Yang Se-chan and Miyeon removed the name tag of the last remaining comrade water ghost, Haha.
(G)I-DLE will make their comeback on the 6th with their 9th mini-album 'We made'.
