Yoo Jae-suk's Warm Hug Encountered During Jackie Chan's Company Trainee Days

Actor Lee Jun-young revealed a special connection he once had with Yoo Jae-suk ahead of his military enlistment. Appearing on tvN's 'You Quiz on the Block' aired on the 8th, Lee Jun-young recalled memories shared with Yoo Jae-suk during his trainee days before his debut.

Lee Jun-young, who was a trainee at the company run by Jackie Chan at the time, met Yoo Jae-suk when the latter visited for a 'Running Man' filming. Lee explained the situation, saying, "When I was at Jackie Chan hyung's company, they were filming 'Running Man,' and all the trainees from the company went together." While other cast members present also offered greetings, Yoo Jae-suk's attitude was exceptional.

Lee shared the memory, saying, "The only person who hugged each and every one of us was Yoo Jae-suk hyung." Yoo Jae-suk's approach to the trainees, whose names and ages he didn't even know, saying, "I'll be rooting for you, let's definitely meet again," became a major milestone for Lee. He added, "I want to become an adult like him."

Ahead of his enlistment, Lee Jun-young decided to appear on the show to express his gratitude to Yoo Jae-suk. He revealed his sincerity, stating that although he turned down all other schedules due to his upcoming enlistment, he made sure to appear on this program hosted by Yoo Jae-suk, whom he has always felt grateful toward. Yoo Jae-suk also confirmed their connection, remembering Lee Jun-young after all this time.

"It feels like riding a rollercoaster"... An actor's honest feelings ahead of enlistment

Lee Jun-young, who is set to enlist on July 21, confessed that he is currently in an emotionally unstable state. There are 13 days left until his enlistment. Lee described his recent mood as feeling like he is riding a rollercoaster.

He said he is experiencing emotional fluctuations, such as suddenly tearing up or feeling down even when it is not an emotional scene during filming. Lee expressed his restless heart, saying, "Even while filming, I suddenly feel down, and even when it's not an emotional scene, I'm suddenly moved. I see things I didn't see before. It's really strange lately."

In the process of announcing his enlistment, he even prepared a handwritten letter. He shared an episode where he wrote "the nth letter" in the wrong order starting from the first letter, and he ended up blaming himself when fans reacted with sadness. Lee will be handling his schedule until four days before his enlistment and plans to spend time with his family on the 20th, the day before he enlists.

Three upcoming works, yet a sense of complexity regarding the remaining hiatus

He also expressed the emptiness stemming from the gap between his acting activities and his enlistment. Yoo Jae-suk mentioned that Lee Jun-young has worked so diligently that he has three works scheduled to be released even after his enlistment. To this, Lee replied, "Even if three works are released, there will still be a hiatus (because I am serving in the military). It feels complicated."

Lee Jun-young has appeared in various works, including playing dual roles in the drama 'Chairman Kang, the New Employee,' as well as 'D.P.' and 'When Life Gives You Tangerines.' He shared that his parents were more delighted by the news of his appearance on 'You Quiz' than by casting news, saying, "Our son has made it."

Lee Jun-young revealed that this appearance is his last broadcast before enlistment and once again mentioned his parents' reaction. He drew laughter by saying, "Rather than news of being cast in a project, they said, 'Our son has made it,' when I told them I was going on 'You Quiz,'" and he chose this broadcast as his final step before enlistment.
