BABYMONSTER's Power Sweeps Arenas in 5 Japanese Cities
The group BABYMONSTER is shaking up the Japanese archipelago. Their agency, YG Entertainment, announced on the 10th that BABYMONSTER successfully completed the ‘2026-27 BABYMONSTER WORLD TOUR [CHOOM] IN JAPAN’ performances at the Hyogo Jirion Arena Kobe on July 8th and 9th. Despite being weekdays, the Kobe performance was a complete sell-out, proving the explosive interest of local fans.
This Kobe performance served as the starting signal for the Japanese tour. Starting with Kobe, BABYMONSTER planned arena performances in five Japanese cities, including Fukuoka, Yokohama, Chiba, and Nagoya, and all these shows recorded a streak of sell-outs as soon as tickets opened. This tour, consisting of a total of 11 performances across 6 cities in Japan, will conclude its Japanese schedule with a performance at the Osaka Kyocera Dome this September. In particular, the Kyocera Dome performance is significant as it marks BABYMONSTER's first solo concert since their debut.
The song that opened the concert was ‘WE GO UP’. This was followed by performances of ‘DRIP’ and ‘SHEESH’, which have received great love in Japan, surpassing 100 million cumulative streams, and they captivated the audience by sequentially presenting the title track and B-sides from their 3rd mini-album ‘CHOOM’. The members showcased their solid vocal and rapping abilities without reservation, performing live with hand microphones alongside session musicians. The high-quality stage production also stood out, featuring the use of moving cars to interact with the audience and presenting unique solo stages.
Global Moves Spanning 5 Continents and Ongoing Activities
Communication with the fans met on-site was also intense. BABYMONSTER conveyed their sincerity to local fans with proficient Japanese skills. After finishing the performance, the members shared their thoughts, saying, “We are so happy to meet you again so soon after the fan concert. We prepared hard for this tour as well,” and “No matter where we are, your support reaches our hearts. We will repay you with wonderful stages for the rest of the tour.” They continued to express their affection for fans, saying, “Wherever we are, the sound of your support always reaches our hearts. Thanks to that, we can find strength every single day.”
The heat of the Japanese tour expands to the global stage. Having kicked off the prelude to their second world tour in Seoul last month, BABYMONSTER plans to continue a large-scale global tour spanning a total of 5 continents, including Oceania, South America, North America, and Europe, after completing the 11 performances in Japan.
