Singer Shin So-yul shared updates on his three sons, who possess extraordinary talents. Appearing as a guest on the MBC entertainment program 'Radio Star' aired on July 22, Shin So-yul specifically detailed the growth process and different paths taken by his three sons.

From the 186cm eldest to the U-17 national team second son

The eldest son drew attention with his 186cm height and visuals, inheriting his father's looks. Shin So-yul boasted about his son, saying, "People around me often tell me he looks good. It seems he was born with great visuals, just like me." The eldest son is receiving interest from the entertainment industry, including love calls from talent agencies and appearances on dating programs featuring celebrity children. He is currently focusing on his studies in the Applied Music department at Soongsil University.

The path of the second son, who is born only a year apart from the eldest, is also extraordinary. Currently active as a soccer player in Japan, the second son was selected for the U-17 youth national team last year. Shin So-yul mentioned that his son was a former participant in 'Fly! Shootori' and shared a photo taken with Lee Seung-woo, recounting his son's soccer career. The youngest son has also excelled in his studies. Having moved to Japan with his family, the youngest enrolled in a local academy boasting a high level of excellence and ranked 25th out of 1,400 students in the entrance exam.

Switching to private mode following sons' requests to delete SNS photos

He also opened up about the changes he feels as a father alongside his children's growth. Shin So-yul candidly confessed to the changing relationship as his sons grow up. He noted that the children, who used to call him "Dad" and cling to him until just last year, have now created distance, only offering a slight nod of the shoulder. Shin So-yul recently switched his SNS account to private.

This is because all three sons requested that their photos posted on their father's SNS account be deleted. Shin So-yul said, "My sons were deleting my memories one by one. After deleting seven or eight, I just thought, 'Fine, I'm done,' and turned it to private." The studio erupted in laughter when he expressed his grievance, adding that his sons don't even follow his account. Yoo Se-yoon represented the sons' position, saying, "That's not how it usually works among family."

Experiencing a sing-along for the first time in 30 years at a Dongtan apartment event

Shin So-yul also shared an experience from a recent event at an apartment complex in Dongtan New Town, Hwaseong, Gyeonggi-do. At the site, which was mainly composed of residents in their 40s and 50s who spent their youth during Shin So-yul's heyday, he experienced overwhelming sing-alongs and cheers for the first time in 30 years since his debut.

Shin So-yul sang five songs in a row at the venue. Even after the performance ended, the residents showed hospitality by providing him with cherry tomatoes. Shin So-yul said, "Not only was the pay properly settled, but the reaction was also perfect. It was a huge source of support." Shin So-yul married his Japanese wife, Rumi Ko, in 2006 and is raising three sons, continuing his life as a 'goose father' (living apart for education) for his wife and children who are residing in Japan for their education.
