Channel A's 'Baseball Queen 2' Black Queens pulled off a massive comeback against the Hammerstorm, a powerhouse team with seven national championship titles. In the second match of the season broadcast on the 23rd, the Black Queens overcame an early 4-0 deficit to turn the game around with a 9-4 victory.

The opposing team, Hammerstorm, is a formidable squad with a record of 11 wins and 1 loss in 12 games during 2025 and 2026. Since their single loss was decided by a "coin toss" due to rain, they are practically undefeated. While the Black Queens gained momentum with a 19-4 mercy rule victory in their opening game, they faced an opponent of a completely different caliber in this match.

Shaky Starting Lineup and Manager Choo Shin-soo's Scolding

Starting pitcher Jang Su-young returned with a changed pitching form following a hamstring injury experienced during Season 1. She was a player that Manager Choo Shin-soo worried about deeply, even asking the production team about her situation during a meal due to concerns over her declining skill. Although Jang Su-young prepared through 1:1 training with coach Yoon Suk-min and battery coordination with newcomer Choi Hye-bin, she struggled with control in the actual game, issuing four consecutive walks and allowing two runs via walks.

Park Ha-yan, who came on next, also faced a bases-loaded crisis with no outs after hitting the first batter with a pitch. Park Min-seo, who had been excluded from the starting lineup due to an ankle injury, was brought in and prevented further runs by striking out three consecutive batters.

As the momentum collapsed early in the game, Manager Choo Shin-soo gathered the players and scolded them harshly. "Everyone lacks composure on the field," Manager Choo Shin-soo said, urging them, "You must look at the dugout signs every time you throw a ball. Then, seizing another opportunity through Shin So-jung's reaching base and Choi Hye-bin being hit by a pitch, the Black Queens turned the game around to 6-4 with a three-run home run by Kim On-a.

After successfully taking the lead, the Black Queens continued their offensive. In a bases-loaded situation created by consecutive reaches from Park Min-seo, Park Ha-yan, and Joo Su-jin, Lee Su-yeon hit a three-run triple over the right fielder's head, widening the lead to 9-4.

In the top of the 4th inning, Song-a returned to the mound and secured two outs, but allowed a two-run home run after a walk, allowing the opponent to close in to 9-6. Song-a showed focus, saying, "I will finish this," and ended the game by striking out the final batter looking.
