Kim Jong-min gives up overnight stay in Busan to avoid his wife's scrutiny

Singer Kim Jong-min ultimately gave up on staying overnight in Busan due to his wife's firm refusal. Kim, who is 14 months into his marriage, shared glimpses of his newlywed life and his desire to be with his wife on the SBS show 'My Little Old Boy,' which aired on the 26th.

"You're staying over?" Kim Jong-min yields to his wife's blunt rejection

During the gathering held at actor Han Sang-jin's residence in Busan, Kim Jong-min attempted to stay overnight while carefully reading his wife's mood. When Han Sang-jin, who has been married for 23 years, asked the two if they would stay the night, Nam Chang-hee showed confidence, suggesting that his wife would likely give permission immediately if he called her. In contrast, Kim Jong-min shook his head, saying, "I can't even imagine it. It would be a disaster at our house."

Kim opened up about his life with his wife, expressing his dilemma. "If there's a '1 Night 2 Days' shoot starting early in the morning, I could go and sleep there the night before, but my wife says even that time is a waste. She insists on being together no matter what," he said. This implies that his wife values their time together so much that she finds any time spent apart to be a loss.

During a phone call, Park Jung-eun, the wife of Han Sang-jin, readily gave permission for Kim Jong-min and Nam Chang-hee to stay overnight. "I'm fine with it. It's better to let him go once so he can relax when he visits," Park replied. Gaining courage from this, Kim called his wife and attempted to stay over, saying, "There is so much to learn from Han Sang-jin. You live like a slave to your husband. I'm planning to stay in Busan for a day to talk." However, his wife immediately shut him down, asking, "You're staying over?"

In an attempt to smooth things over, Kim added, "I'll take the first train tomorrow morning," but his wife responded sharply, "Shouldn't you come home today? You're a newlywed, and you're trying to stay out overnight?" Although Kim argued, "It's not staying overnight, just a long outing," his wife remained firm, stating, "If you don't come home, it's staying overnight." Ultimately, Kim gave up, saying, "Honey, I'm coming home." When his wife immediately replied, "Drive safely," Kim concluded the situation by saying, "It's because my wife loves me so much."

Nam Chang-hee's sudden change of heart and Kim Jong-min's plans for a child

Nam Chang-hee also faced an unexpected turn of events. Having been confident that his wife would 100% give him permission if he called, his attitude shifted once she failed to answer the phone. He became flustered, saying, "I'm sorry, but I'll head out first. I'm feeling anxious so I should go. Why isn't she answering? I'm really sorry."

Kim Jong-min married a non-celebrity who is 11 years younger than him last April. In March, he appeared on KBS2's 'The Return of Superman' and revealed his plans to have a daughter and a son. At the time, Kim added that he is aiming for natural conception and is focusing on health management, such as reducing sugar and flour intake.
