Singer Kim Sung-kyu expressed his excitement as he connected with fans ahead of his first solo concert in Vietnam. In a behind-the-scenes video capturing the journey of his Asia tour 'LV4: LEAP TO VECTOR,' Kim showcased a more human side, contrasting with his charismatic stage persona.

During a break before the performance, Kim Sung-kyu unwound by enjoying local food. While eating shrimp fried noodles and other local dishes, he made a candid confession about his habit of eating too quickly. "Since I was young, I've often had to eat in cars or quickly clean up at broadcasting stations while working, so eating fast became a habit," he recalled. "Before I turned 20, I had never bought fast food like hamburgers with my own money, but I started eating them once I began my trainee days."
After the meal, he spent a fun time with his colleagues playing a game to guess the value of local currency. Kim drew laughter as he made various numerical guesses, and despite feeling a bit disappointed by the unexpected results, he fully embraced the local atmosphere to recharge his energy before the show. During a subsequent shopping session, he also revealed his musical tastes while browsing through rock band T-shirts and magazines.
"How can I use this? It's too precious"... Moved by 'unboxing' gifts from fans
About an hour before the main performance, Kim Sung-kyu had an 'unboxing' session to check the gifts prepared by his Vietnamese fans. The gifts included cute dolls modeled after him, figurines holding lightsticks, and guitar straps engraved with his name. In particular, Kim flashed a bright smile while looking at the doll of himself, saying, "It's so cute."
As he went through the gifts one by one, Kim expressed deep emotion at the heartfelt messages from his fans. From witty phrases like "Sung-kyu oppa, we don't have a home, we can't go home" to encouraging words like "You can look forward to the Vietnamese Inspirited sing-along," Kim was moved to silence upon seeing the bundle of sincere letters, saying, "I'm so touched." He promised, "There are so many letters. I will read them all carefully after the concert," adding, "I will do my best to create wonderful memories to repay the Vietnamese fans who have waited for me."
