EVNNE member Keita has shared a vivid behind-the-scenes look at his cover song shoot set against a scenic seaside backdrop. The journey for this shoot, aimed at covering Justin Bieber's 'Beauty And A Beat (feat. Nicki Minaj)', was intense from the very start. Keita kicked off the mission by traveling a round trip of two and a half hours to reach the coast.
"If I fall, I fall" — An unexpected display of skill on a skateboard
One of the highlights of the shoot was Keita's skateboarding sequence. Showcasing a custom board he meticulously assembled himself, Keita raised expectations with his childhood experience. However, reality proved challenging. Ahead of the skateboarding segment, Keita maintained a relaxed attitude, saying, "I'll just do what I always do; if I fall, I fall, and if I do well, I do well." Yet, during the actual filming, he faced the humiliation of falling on his backside during both attempts.
Following the mishaps, Keita declared a cute surrender, stating, "I shouldn't get hurt, and I feel like I'll get in trouble, so I won't do it." However, he showed a surprising side by skillfully handling a fingerboard on the side of the set, revealing his deep affection for skateboarding. The shoot, conducted under the sea breeze, sand, and scorching sun, quickly drained Keita's stamina.
Ice cream and claw machines: Break times filled with whimsical imagination
During the breaks between takes, Keita's quirky charm truly shone. While clutching melting ice cream and exclaiming, "I feel like I can live again," he also fell into deep thought in front of a claw machine. Keita revealed a plan to bring a small claw machine, which could be purchased for around 250,000 won, into the company office. His specific side-hustle plan—suggesting that everyone at the company would use it if it charged 500 won per play—brought laughter to the set.
Even as his skin tanned under the intense sun, Keita never lost his professionalism. Expressing 100% certainty that "my cover song shoot will be the hardest among our members," he squeezed out his remaining energy to finish the final scene.
