Lee Fila Shares Acting Ambitions in First Profile Video
Lee Fila introduced her background and acting goals in her first profile video on agency IOKENM’s YouTube channel. Born in 1997, she moved to Canada at about nine and returned to South Korea at around 23 to pursue acting.

Actor Lee Fila has outlined ambitions to play romantic-comedy leads and strong, serious action characters in her first profile video, released through agency IOKENM’s YouTube channel. Born in 1997, she shared previously little-known details of her background alongside her hopes for her acting career.
Lee Fila named Jun Ji-hyun and Anne Hathaway as acting role models. Recalling Jun Ji-hyun’s performances, she expressed interest in a character from a work she referred to as “Byeorui Son, Geudae Cheonseong.” Thinking of Anne Hathaway, she said she dreams of playing the lead in a romantic comedy.

Action is another area she wants to explore. Saying she is “good at using my body,” Lee Fila expressed a desire to portray a dark, serious and strong character like Ji-woo Hye-jin, played by Han So-hee in the drama My Name. She has regularly practiced an exercise routine combining Pilates and ballet, providing a foundation for that ambition.
Her introduction also explored the wish behind her name. Lee Fila said she belongs to the Jeonju Lee clan and that her given name uses Pil, meaning “brush,” and Ra, meaning “silk.” Her parents chose it with the wish that she would “draw your dreams freely on a silk road.”
Lee Fila emigrated to Canada at about nine and completed elementary school, middle school, high school and university there. She returned to South Korea at around 23 and began pursuing acting.

Away from acting, Lee Fila described herself as a homebody who prefers spending days off at home with her dog. She enjoys decorating her diary and listed notebooks, pens and wired earphones as everyday essentials. Keeping written records is also a way for her to organize her thoughts.
Drawing on descriptions from people around her, Lee Fila offered the keywords “bright,” “a little goofy,” “quietly mentally strong,” which she shortened to “Eunmaense,” and “Canada homebody.” Friends also call her “Pil-gu” because of her quirky charm.
Alongside that easygoing personality, she described a firm streak: “I can clearly say when something is not right.”

Lee Fila named the American television series Friends as a life favorite, describing its appeal as encompassing every aspect of human life. Her other selections spanned films and dramas, with different elements leaving an impression on her.
She highlighted the realistic ending of La La Land, the love depicted in The Notebook, and the fashion and style of The Devil Wears Prada. She also recalled the emotions she experienced while watching the dramas My Mister and The Light in Your Eyes from South Korea.
