Nam Mun-yeol ended his conversation with Gi-ppeum by saying they would talk about what comes after his next leave. The scene comes from episode 10 of the JTBC drama Salon De Nabi, in which Nam Mun-yeol's sudden enlistment news and the reaction of Gi-ppeum, played by Kim Hyang-gi, were depicted.

Don't wait, but wait

Mun-yeol told Gi-ppeum not to wait for him, trying not to put any burden on her. Gi-ppeum said she did not want to burden him either, yet she showed mixed feelings at his request that she wait. Mun-yeol said promises are not something to be made carelessly, but signalled that waiting until his next leave would be possible. Facing his enlistment, the two confirmed their feelings for each other but, rather than settling the future, chose to defer it. Earlier, Gi-ppeum had offered to be a perm model to comfort Mun-yeol, who looked down as his enlistment approached.

A draft notice and a shifted mood

In the video, Mun-yeol told Gi-ppeum he had to go to the army next month because his draft notice had come. Flustered, Gi-ppeum asked what he had done to receive one. Mun-yeol said he would handle it himself and held back so she would not worry, but the reality of enlistment changed the air between them.

The news also reached others around them. The director brought up the relationship between Gi-ppeum and Mun-yeol and reminded them of the guideline she had clearly stated, no dating, which revealed a subtle tension among the characters.
