Singer Kim Yong-bin is preparing for a comeback by focusing on choreography practice after a seven-year hiatus caused by panic disorder.

Singer Kim Yong-bin is practicing choreography for an upcoming concert after a seven-year hiatus caused by panic disorder. Having performed since age seven, Kim maintained a strict self-management routine during his time away from the stage to prepare for his return.
Singer Kim Yong-bin is dedicating himself to preparing for a return to the stage after overcoming seven years of panic disorder. In a video released by TV CHOSUN JOY, Kim confessed his past trials and showed himself immersed in choreography practice for an upcoming concert.
Growing pains from a age-7 debut and a 7-year hiatus
Kim Yong-bin revealed that he had been performing on stage since the age of seven, even before his official debut in 2004. He confessed that while he received warm welcomes from adults during his childhood regardless of his singing ability, he faced difficulties as he transitioned into adulthood, experiencing voice changes and a decline in public interest.

In particular, he shared that around the age of 20, he felt psychological pressure as he realized that, unlike in the past, there were no longer people seeking him out. The burden of feeling he had to perform every stage perfectly eventually led to panic disorder, resulting in a period of approximately seven years where he could not stand on stage. "Every single stage is truly precious. The pressure to do well manifested as panic disorder," Kim explained regarding the situation at that time.
"Because I don't know when I'll stand on stage"... Thorough self-management and choreography practice
Even during the long hiatus, Kim Yong-bin's self-management did not stop. He stated that even during times when no one was looking for him, he maintained himself with the mindset that he must always be prepared because he never knew when he might stand on stage again. In the video, Kim showed him maintaining a strict routine, such as consuming balloon flower and pear juice for throat care and drinking corn silk tea to reduce swelling.
Recently, he has been focusing on choreography practice ahead of an upcoming concert. Even on his days off, he is making time to devote to practice, such as visiting the practice room with his father. "Even if it is hard, I believe that if I always work hard, a day will come when things can go well," he added, noting that he has been putting a lot of effort into dance practice lately.
Choreography practice with close friend Chris and a chicken fight mishap
Kim Yong-bin's close friend and pianist, Chris, joined him at the practice site. The two continued their practice while coordinating the choreography for a new song. While Kim skillfully handled upper body and arm movements, he received feedback that he lacked some strength in his hip and foot movements.
During a game of chicken fight that followed the practice, both men showed a lack of strength, drawing laughter. Kim mentioned his physical state, saying, "Since I haven't been eating well and haven't been exercising, I have no strength." Nevertheless, based on the belief that "if I endure, things can go well someday," he is moving toward the stage that has begun again.
