Eli is considering relocating to South Korea to provide emotional stability for his son, Min-su, following his divorce. While currently maintaining a stable life in the United States, he fears that the child's indefinite waiting to see his father could lead to psychological trauma.
Eli, who has been raising his son Min-su alone since his divorce, is considering moving to South Korea to ensure his son's emotional stability. This decision goes beyond a simple change of residence, reflecting a parental responsibility to ensure the child feels the presence of a father who is available to meet him at any time.
"Fearing that indefinite waiting might hurt the child"
Eli expressed complex emotions while recalling his trip to Busan this past June. He confessed that his bright smile in photos from that time felt heavy to look back on, as he appeared too unaware of the changes that would arrive just one month later. While he currently maintains a stable life through economic activities in the United States, he is considering moving to South Korea for the sake of his relationship with Min-su.

The core reason Eli is considering the move to South Korea lies in his son's sense of "stability." Referencing common forms of divorced families, he explained that even if parents live in separate homes, an environment must be created where the child can meet them regularly to avoid psychological anxiety. He is most concerned that the "indefinite waiting, not knowing when he will see his father," which Min-su may currently experience, could become a trauma for the child.
"I have tried to handle heavy and difficult things on my own to fulfill the role of a father, but there are still moments when a father is needed," he said, expressing his desire to be by Min-su's side when the boy needs a father's presence. However, practical constraints, such as professional issues and child support that may arise if he settles in South Korea, remain challenges to be resolved.
A separation before the peak of love, remaining possibilities
Perspectives on their relationship remain cautious yet hopeful. Interpretations suggest that Eli's desire to remain a presence in Min-su's life and his consideration of moving to South Korea for the child's sake is distinct from a simple desire for reconciliation. Eli himself drew a line, stating, "I only want to remain as a person who is a part of Min-su's life; I have no excessive greed."
The cast members noted that the couple faced separation before they had experienced the peak of their love. Since the breakup occurred before conflicts in the relationship could deepen, observations have been made that there remains room for their relationship to develop in any direction in the future.
Meanwhile, Eli expressed complex emotions while mentioning a bouquet of flowers he recently received from an acquaintance. While showing his affection for his son by preparing blue-toned bouquets for him, he simultaneously demonstrated the exhaustion of raising his son alone and his sense of responsibility as a father.
