Lee Kyung-sil's son Bo-seung apologizes to family, clarifies marriage and childbirth were deliberate choices
Bo-seung, the son of Lee Kyung-sil, expressed sincere apologies to his family during an appearance on TV CHOSUN's 'Perfect Life,' explaining that his past decisions to marry and have a child were intentional choices rather than mistakes.

Long-standing family conflicts were resolved through tears and apologies. Appearing on TV CHOSUN's 'Perfect Life,' Bo-seung, the son of Lee Kyung-sil, shared his feelings regarding his past decisions to marry and have a child, offering a sincere apology to his family.
"It was a choice, not a mistake"... Past decisions and family concerns
During the broadcast, Bo-seung faced sharp questioning from his mother, Lee Kyung-sil, and his sister regarding his past decision to marry and have a child. Lee Kyung-sil questioned his decision with concern, asking, "With what mindset did you think you could take on such responsibility?" In response, Bo-seung clarified that his decision was not an impulsive mistake but a choice based on his conviction that he could take responsibility, stating, "It wasn't a mistake. I thought I should have a child."

Bo-seung explained that his decision was shared by the mother of his child, I-yun, noting that their desire to form a family was stronger than the perspectives of their parents or surrounding circumstances. Conversely, Lee Kyung-sil candidly shared the anxiety and worry she felt at the time, noting that as a mother, she could not help but feel angry that her son, who was only twenty-three or twenty-four at the time, had to shoulder the weight of being a head of household at such a young age.
"I wish you would empathize" vs "We have to live"… Divergent perspectives
The family conversation grew tense as their positions remained at odds. Bo-seung requested emotional empathy from his mother, asking her to at least show a look that suggested she could understand his position. Having already fulfilled his role as a head of household, he hoped his mother would not worry too much, as he was confident in his choice.

However, Lee Kyung-sil expressed the hardships she faced. She confessed that whenever Bo-seung maintained an optimistic attitude, saying, "It will all work out in the end," the family members who had to deal with the reality felt their hearts grow heavy. Lee Kyung-sil admitted that while Bo-seung was optimistic, it felt disconnected from reality for the family, who had to deal with immediate situations such as going out to work at night and spending time with the child.
Son heading out for designated driving at midnight, the weight of a single "I'm sorry"
Following the intense debate, Bo-seung bowed his head and said, "I am sorry for making everything difficult for everyone." Rather than offering a grand explanation to change his mother's mind, he delivered a short but heavy apology. At his words, Lee Kyung-sil opened her heart, telling him, "You did very well."
The reality of Bo-seung's life revealed after the apology was intense. Toward the end of the broadcast, Bo-seung was captured riding a bicycle after midnight to perform designated driving services. His daily life as a head of household was revealed: caring for his child and wife during the day, and working part-time as a designated driver at night to make a living. As if reflecting the observation that his day is full without anyone's help, Bo-seung was working day and night to build a life and take responsibility for his choices.
