Haru marks 300th day with family band performance and self-led eating
A family celebrated Haru's 300th day with a surprise musical performance by his father and Haru's first attempt at self-led eating using a spoon.

Haru celebrated his 300th day with a special family band performance featuring a song by Genie, as he also attempted to use a spoon for the first time during a commemorative pasta meal.
The family of Haru celebrated a special milestone as he reached 300 days old. A video shared by KBS WORLD Latino captures a surprise performance prepared by his father to celebrate Haru's growth, alongside Haru's first attempt at self-led eating.
"My Hero Shin Sung-woo"... Father sings nostalgic songs in family band performance
To celebrate Haru's 300th day, his father planned a special "celebration performance." The father selected a song by Genie, a project group of Shin Sung-woo, who was a hero that provided him great strength during his youth. "I gained a lot of strength from listening to this song when I was young," the father explained regarding the meaning behind the song choice.

The performance unfolded like a family band stage. As the father took on the role of vocalist, the celebratory atmosphere for Haru's 300th day intensified. The father led the stage while monitoring Haru's reactions throughout the song. In particular, the selection of a song that evoked nostalgia for the College Song Festival era increased the immersion of the performance during the lyrics, "I am searching for my dream."
First time holding a spoon: Haru's challenge toward 'self-led eating'
Following the performance, the family prepared a 300th-day commemorative meal. The menu consisted of a pure pasta made by mixing tomatoes and onions. To make it easy for the child to eat, the tomato skins were peeled and ground for cooking. This diet, which can be started from 300 days, was prepared considering the child's taste and digestive capabilities.
The highlight of the day was Haru's practice of "self-led eating." While his parents had previously fed him with a spoon, Haru attempted to hold the spoon and eat by himself on this day. In this process, which can begin from 300 days to aid fine motor skill development, Haru wore a gown and learned how to use a spoon.
Initially, Haru was clumsy with the spoon, dropping food or touching it with his hands. However, the process of touching the food with his fingers served as a tactile play that aided fine motor skill development. Haru gradually succeeded in bringing food to his mouth using the spoon, showing focus on the meal.
"One bite for Dad"... Sharing the "adult taste" together
As the meal progressed, Haru showed signs of interacting with his father rather than just eating alone. Haru acted as if trying to share food with his father, sharing the meal as if responding to a request for "Please give me some." The father expressed satisfaction with the homemade pasta, stating, "I made it, but it is really delicious."
This time, where parents and child sit before the same menu, shows the process of a child gradually expanding their contact points with adult food culture. Through the child-friendly pasta with minimal seasoning, Haru experienced new flavors and learned the joy of eating together with the family.
