ONF members HYOJIN and Yoon review Japanese convenience store products
ONF members HYOJIN and Yoon visited 7-Eleven, Lawson, and FamilyMart in Japan to review various food items, ranging from melon pan to pudding.

ONF members HYOJIN and Yoon compared food from 7-Eleven, Lawson, and FamilyMart, ultimately naming 7-Eleven the most satisfying brand for melon pan taste. The duo also tested various items including mala cup noodles, chocolate-filled mochi, and Lawson's Mochi Puyo.
Members of the group ONF, HYOJIN and Yoon, compared the characteristics of various products from Japan's major convenience stores after finishing their schedules. They visited the three major convenience stores in Japan—7-Eleven, Lawson, and FamilyMart—to review various foods they purchased, sharing useful information with fans.
From meals to desserts, a diverse lineup in Japanese convenience stores
Before starting their dessert tasting, the two members began with carbohydrate-focused meals. HYOJIN introduced "shio musubi" (salt rice balls) found in Japanese convenience stores. Describing the product as a real rice ball made only with seasonings, HYOJIN evaluated the flavor as being well-seasoned and "addictive."

The tasting continued with various menus including cup noodles, chicken skewers, and boneless fried chicken. They noted the diverse lineup unique to Japanese convenience stores by selecting products where the noodles were packaged separately. Upon tasting cup noodles with a strong mala flavor, the members noted the spicy flavor, stating, "It is definitely the mala taste we know." They also compared the different textures and sweetness levels of chocolate products featuring sweet potato illustrations and trendy sweet potato matang, with one member specifically noting the matang had a "texture like tanghulu."
Who is the winner of the melon pan? Comparing brand characteristics
One of the main highlights of the review was the comparison of "melon pan," a representative snack of Japanese convenience stores, across different brands. The members provided different criteria for the melon pan purchased from FamilyMart, 7-Eleven, and Lawson.

Regarding the FamilyMart product, HYOJIN evaluated it as "number one in terms of texture" because "the outer bread is the crispiest." On the other hand, the 7-Eleven product received opinions that it had the "best balance of flavor," leading to the final conclusion that 7-Eleven was the most satisfying in terms of taste. The Lawson product showed characteristics falling between 7-Eleven and FamilyMart. The members analyzed the subtle differences between brands by sharing ways to experience flavor through aroma.
A "maximum sweetness" journey concluded with pudding and mochi desserts
After finishing the meals and the melon pan comparison, pudding and mochi desserts, considered essential items at Japanese convenience stores, appeared. Upon tasting Lawson's "Mochi Puyo," the members mentioned its cute name and taste, noting it is a product one seeks out when sugar levels drop. In particular, they confirmed that the chocolate-filled mochi product "has chocolate inside as a whole."
The members, who taste pudding frequently when traveling in Japan, focused on the aroma of the products. They continued the pleasant atmosphere by comparing the sweet scent of the pudding to perfume. Finally, despite not usually enjoying rice cake, the members expressed satisfaction with the chocolate-filled rice cake dessert, calling it an "amazing taste." HYOJIN and Yoon concluded their schedule with greetings, hoping this convenience store exploration would be helpful to fans.
