During a YouTube interview with singer Lee Ji-hye, plastic surgeon Lee Jang-won recommended Botox as the best value for money and suggested thread lifting for those in their 30s to maintain elasticity.

Singer Lee Ji-hye visited plastic surgeon Lee Jang-won, whom she refers to as her "eighth father," to observe his unique lifestyle and plastic surgery philosophy. Revealed through the YouTube channel Mipji Aneun Gwanjong Eonni, the video features Lee Ji-hye touring the interior of Lee Jang-won's new apartment in Gangdong-gu and conducting a candid interview.

Artistic space of a doctor with a fine arts club background: "Every room is for my daughter"

"Being a doctor is not a good profession," says plastic surgeon Lee Jang-won in interview with Lee Ji-hye

The home of Lee Jang-won, visited by Lee Ji-hye, displayed an artistic sensibility that breaks away from typical apartment layouts. Having been part of a fine arts club, Lee showcased an original interior, placing works by a first-generation Korean pictogram artist in the living room instead of a TV and even framing paper towels as decoration. The living room lighting, stools, and furniture featured highly colorful designs, with some pieces sourced through the secondhand trading platform Karrot to balance practicality and aesthetics. Notably, the island table was custom-made in metal to fit the vertical structure of the space.

Lee's philosophy was also evident in how he utilized the space. He revealed that he uses all four rooms in the house for his daughter, Yu Han-i. The playrooms designed for her growth, the storage-focused dressing room, and the carefully selected faucets and interior accessories all reflect his affection for her. Expressing his paternal feelings, Lee stated, "Being a doctor is not a good profession," noting that instead of the long training process required to become a doctor (such as 6–8 years of medical school, 1 year of internship, and 4 years of residency), he hopes his daughter gains diverse experiences in places like New Zealand.

"Botox is the best value for money"... Anti-aging guide by age group

During the interview following the home tour, Lee provided practical advice on plastic surgery. Lee Ji-hye expressed gratitude to Lee for resolving her past concerns regarding her philtrum area and asked for the secret to his natural results. Surprised that her balance was restored with almost no filler injections, Lee emphasized that "sincerity is the secret," stressing the importance of achieving a natural balance rather than excessive filler injections.

When asked about the most effective procedures, Lee replied, "Botox is the best value for money." He explained that Botox can improve lines and manage wrinkles, and through skin Botox, one can also expect improvements in pores. He then provided the following guide for management by age group:

For those in their 30s, as skin elasticity begins to decrease, he recommended thread lifting, collagen boosters, skin boosters, or management using laser equipment such as Thermage or Misera. In his view, this is the start of "anti-aging" to maintain one's current appearance 5 to 10 years later. For those in their 40s and 50s and beyond, eye bag repositioning or a facelift may be effective depending on the degree of skin sagging; he added that for those over 50 seeking dramatic changes, a facelift that pulls the SMAS layer can be an alternative.

The daily life of a couple married for 12 years and the life of a plastic surgeon

The video also revealed aspects of Lee's personal life. After studying in New Zealand and completing his specialist training in Korea, he recently celebrated his 12th wedding anniversary with his wife, whom he dated for 12 years. Lee showed a side of himself that enjoys artistic hobbies, personally managing everything from the interior to the furniture arrangement. Observing Lee's hip style and the sensible atmosphere of his home, Lee Ji-hye reacted by saying, "You look like the owner of a select shop in Seongsu-dong."
