R&B singer Park Hwayobi, born Park Mi-young, expressed a desire to reunite with her former elementary school classmate Jeong Ji-ung, the class president who protected her from school bullies in Pohang.

R&B singer Park Hwayobi returned to her past memories to find a reliable presence who protected her during her childhood. In the KBS show 'TV Carries Love' aired on December 15, 2002, the process of singer Park Hwayobi (real name Park Mi-young) searching for a connection from her second grade year in elementary school was depicted.

"The hero who protected the princess"... Park Hwayobi's 'Dolsoe' Jeong Ji-ung

During her childhood, Park Hwayobi was "Park Mi-young," a student who faced difficulties in school life due to her small stature and weak physical condition. At that time, the class president Jeong Ji-ung was by her side, looking after her in any situation. In the reenactment shown in the video, Jeong Ji-ung is depicted as a "hero of justice" who protected Park Mi-young from villains and a reliable supporter who helped her up when she fell and took her to the infirmary.

At the time, Park Mi-young faced troubling situations, such as her shoes being taken away as a prank by friends, but Jeong Ji-ung, who was the class president, appeared to resolve these issues and became her greatest support. Recalling those days, Park Hwayobi stated, "I was able to endure because Ji-ung was there." Even after the classes were split when they entered third grade, Jeong Ji-ung continued to worry about her and made promises, remaining a precious person to Park Hwayobi that cannot be replaced by anything.

"Nothing was artificially done"... Park Hwayobi's calm confession

Now an adult active as a singer, Park Hwayobi showed a calm attitude regarding her past self and her changed appearance in an interview. Along with the background of why she began performing under the name 'Park Hwayobi' instead of her real name, she revealed regarding her current appearance, "Nothing was artificially done."

In particular, when asked about changes in her appearance, she replied with wit and composure about how her look changed through various life experiences, saying, "The world made me this way." Regarding her face changing after going through many life experiences by the age of twenty-one, she said, "The face at nineteen is different from the face at twenty-one," showing a human side different from the glamorous singer on stage.

Park Mi-young, who became the pride of Pohang: Will they meet again?

Elementary school classmates and teachers from Park Hwayobi's alma mater in Pohang expressed their joy, praising her as the "pride of Pohang." Her teacher at the time confirmed through Park Mi-young's school records that she was an excellent student.

Park Hwayobi expressed her desire to find Jeong Ji-ung, the "loyal Dolsoe" who protected her during her childhood. Along with those fresh memories, attention is gathering on what kind of reunion the now-singer Park Hwayobi will have with her precious connection from the past.
