KATSEYE, first Billboard 200 entry in 21 years since the Pussycat Dolls
KATSEYE has achieved a major milestone, charting on the Billboard 200 for 61 consecutive weeks with their EP 'Beautiful Chaos', marking a record-breaking feat not seen in 21 years.
A New Billboard History Written by KATSEYE, the First Record in 21 Years Since The Pussycat Dolls
KATSEYE, the global girl group presented through a collaboration between HYBE and Geffen Records, is achieving unrivaled success in the US music market. Their second EP, 'BEAUTIFUL CHAOS', released in June 2025, has successfully remained on the Billboard 200, the main US album chart, for 61 consecutive weeks. As of the July 11 chart, they recorded 128th place, maintaining their position on the chart for over a year.
A girl group album staying on the Billboard 200 for more than a year is a first in 21 years since the release of The Pussycat Dolls' debut album 'PCD' in 2005. The Pussycat Dolls, who led the US pop market in the mid-2000s, produced hits like 'Don't Cha' and 'Buttons' through 'PCD'. KATSEYE has broken their record after 21 years, proving the potential for long-term success of girl groups in the US market.
An Upward Trend Continuing from Hot 100 Success to Grammy Nominations
Their single chart performance is also overwhelming. KATSEYE has placed a total of five songs on the Billboard main single chart, the 'Hot 100'. 'Gabriela' reached a peak of 21st on the January 17 chart, 'PINKY UP' hit 28th (April 25), 'Internet Girl' reached 29th (January 17), and 'Gnarly' climbed to 82nd (January 10).
On June 27, the collaboration single 'ICONIC BY MISTAKE', released alongside LE SSERAFIM and ILLIT as a HYBE Labels girl group alliance project, settled at 38th on the Hot 100 chart. This is the highest achievement for a K-pop girl group song to enter this chart this year.
Awards wins and nominations have also followed. KATSEYE was named as nominees for 'Best New Artist' and 'Best Pop Duo/Group Performance' at the 68th Grammy Awards. Previously, at the American Music Awards in May, they won a total of three awards, including 'New Artist of the Year'. Formed through the audition project 'The Debut: Dream Academy', they demonstrate HYBE's 'multi-home, multi-genre' strategy, which combines Korean-style training with localized strategies.
Sold-out North American and European Tours, Dominating the Global Stage
KATSEYE has appeared successively on global festival stages such as Lollapalooza Chicago, Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, and Governors Ball. In 2025, they were also selected as the No. 1 TikTok Top Artist.
The power of their performance market is reflected in the numbers. Their first North American and European tour, 'THE WILDWORLD TOUR', starting this September, recorded a complete sell-out for all shows within 48 hours of ticket sales opening. This tour will consist of a total of 31 shows across 27 cities in 10 countries.
