2026 MAMA AWARDS announces interstellar theme for Osaka ceremony

Mnet K-POP has unveiled the "A MUSIC INTERSTELLAR" theme for the 2026 MAMA AWARDS, which will take place on November 20 and 21 at the KYOCERA DOME OSAKA. The concept, featuring songs by artists such as SEVENTEEN and IVE, aims to traverse the boundaries between reality and fantasy.

The 2026 MAMA AWARDS, to be held in November 2026, has presented a new worldview that traverses the boundaries between reality and fantasy. On the 29th, Mnet K-POP formalized the theme "BEYOND THE BOUNDARIES OF REALITY" through a compilation video capturing the essence of this year's awards ceremony.

An 'interstellar journey' where reality and fantasy meet

The core concept for this MAMA AWARDS is "A MUSIC INTERSTELLAR." The intention is to use music to realize a space between fantasy that feels like reality, or reality that feels like fantasy. The released theme video creates an atmosphere that seems to transcend time and space through the artists' songs, hinting at the visual and auditory direction the awards ceremony aims to pursue.

From SEVENTEEN to TOMORROW X TOGETHER, an artist lineup completing the theme

The songs composing the theme are filled with the music of major artists currently leading K-pop. Following SEVENTEEN's "Ash," the sequence continues with JEON SOMI's "Fast Forward," IVE's "XOXZ," TOMORROW X TOGETHER's "Over The Moon," and TREASURE's "PARADISE (REMIX)." Each song carries different emotions and rhythms within the video, forming a narrative as if navigating through outer space.

In particular, the video focuses on visualizing "the moment dreams come true" or "the process of moving toward an unknown world" by interlacing the artists' lyrics and melodies. This is interpreted as a musical translation of the awards ceremony's slogan, "BEYOND THE BOUNDARIES OF REALITY."

To be held at KYOCERA DOME OSAKA in Osaka on November 20

The 2026 MAMA AWARDS will be held over two days, November 20 and 21, at the KYOCERA DOME OSAKA in Osaka, Japan.
