HANRORO to perform at Japan's Summer Sonic 2026

Singer-songwriter HANRORO will take the stage at Japan's representative music festival, ‘SUMMER SONIC 2026’. HANRORO has been named in the lineup for this festival, which will be held from August 14 to 16 at Tokyo's ZOZO Marine Stadium and Makuhari Messe, and Osaka's Expo '70 Commemorative Park. The specific performance schedule is August 14 at 10:30 AM at the PACIFIC STAGE in Makuhari Messe, Tokyo.

Summer Sonic is held annually in Tokyo and Osaka and is considered one of Asia's largest music festivals, featuring a massive lineup of world-class artists. This marks the first time HANRORO will perform on this stage. Based on the musical foundation built in Korea, this is expected to be the first global stage where HANRORO meets Japanese local audiences directly.

Achieving two wins at Circle Chart with 'I Will Love You'

HANRORO's recent expansion into Japan coincides with the overwhelming achievements recently accomplished in the domestic music market. According to the 2026 first-half Circle Chart settlement results announced by the Korea Music Content Association, HANRORO won two awards by sweeping both the Digital Chart and the Streaming Chart with the self-composed song ‘I Will Love You’. In particular, ‘I Will Love You’ took first place on the Digital Chart, recording a Circle Index of 315,527,555.

Released in 2023, this song was not selected as the title track from the beginning, but it achieved a so-called 'reverse run' as it gained popularity through word of mouth. From the 48th week of last year through the first half of this year, it maintained its position in the weekly Digital Chart Top 10, establishing itself as a representative song that spans all generations. The fact that HANRORO personally wrote and composed the song is cited as the key factor that moved the hearts of the public.

From winning the Seoul Music Awards to being selected for YouTube Foundry

HANRORO has relentlessly accumulated musical achievements over the past year. Having been honored with an award in the Rock/Ballad category at the 35th Seoul Music Awards, HANRORO has also gained domestic and international recognition, such as being selected as a representative artist for ‘2026 Foundry’, a global artist development program operated by YouTube.
