aespa kicks off tour with performance of 'Switchblade', a collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign

aespa heightened the intensity of their performance by debuting 'Switchblade,' a new collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign, on their world tour stage. Part of the 2026-27 aespa World Tour 'SYNK : COMPLæXITY,' this performance translated the tracks from aespa's second studio album, 'LEMONADE,' into the raw energy of a live show.

Heavy Beats Interlocking with Ty Dolla $ign

At the heart of the stage is the sound of 'Switchblade,' which highlights the collaboration with Ty Dolla $ign. The heavy bassline and rhythmic beats that dominate the track mesh with the members' vocals, overwhelming the atmosphere of the venue. In particular, the hip-hop texture of the original track was seamlessly integrated with the stage production, creating an immersive auditory experience that goes beyond a simple song.

The members executed sophisticated choreography meticulously designed to match the flow of the song. The movement patterns, shifting according to the intensity of the beat, served as a key element in maintaining the track's tension. Much like the sharp imagery suggested by the title 'Switchblade,' the performance—oscillating between restrained movements and explosive energy—demonstrated aespa's musical spectrum.

Expanding the Identity of the 'LEMONADE' Album to the Tour Stage

This performance served as a live showcase of the musical colors found in aespa's new album, 'LEMONADE.' Featuring various collaborations such as 'Switchblade,' 'LEMONADE (Feat. Becky G),' and 'WDA (Feat. G-DRAGON),' the album showcases aespa's expanded musical universe. The tour stage reconstructed these studio works into a three-dimensional live sound experience.

The world tour 'SYNK : COMPLæXITY' is a stage that encapsulates aespa's musical growth both visually and auditorily. The 'Switchblade' performance clearly illustrates how the musical assets aespa has built through collaborations with global artists are successfully translated into live stage performances.
