The upcoming work 'Paradise Lost' is based on the original work 'Black Inferno' by writer Oh Seong-eun, and it was explained that the film sets the background in South Korea and focuses on the story of two characters meeting. Kim Hyun-joo defined the genre of this work as a psychological thriller and mentioned that it is a somewhat difficult challenge as it requires acting that must pull the main protagonist down into a deep abyss.

According to Kim Hyun-joo's explanation in the video, in the film 'Paradise Lost', Kim Hyun-joo plays the role of 'Ryu So-yeong', a mother who lost her son 9 years ago while heading to a camping accommodation. In the drama, Ryu So-yeong lives in a way where she can see her son by wearing glasses through the AI-made 'Children of Paradise' program. The story unfolds when the son, now an adult, returns after 9 years. Kim Hyun-joo conveyed that the core flow of the work is the process of delving into the strangeness felt after the son returns and the peculiar anxiety the son causes. The role of the son is played by actor Bae Hyun-sung.

A routine kept as an actress, "Going to karaoke"

Kim Hyun-joo stated that she does not usually have any special routines, but she cited 'going to karaoke' as something she tries to maintain for herself as an actress.
