Reason why a Honda Accord owner chose it: "Driving feel like an EV and high fuel efficiency"

An owner driving the 11th generation Honda Accord hybrid model shared the reasons for choosing the vehicle and their actual driving experience. In a video released on the YouTube channel 'MOTline', the owner explained the background of why they ultimately chose the Accord after considering domestic cars such as the Sonata or IONIQ 6.

"Driving feel like an EV and high fuel efficiency"

In the video, the owner mentioned that the driving feel of the Accord is similar to an electric vehicle. The vehicle is equipped with a 2.0 inline 4-cylinder e:HEV hybrid system, and the owner highlighted that it is possible to drive in EV mode without engine intervention up to 80km/h. In particular, they emphasized that the motor output reaches 181 horsepower, meaning the motor plays a significant role during driving.

Specific figures were also mentioned regarding fuel efficiency. The owner stated that the highest fuel efficiency recorded on the trip computer was 32km/L. This is higher than the maximum fuel efficiency of 29.x km/L mentioned by the owner of another hybrid vehicle (Camry) in the video. The owner also shared the experience that even during high-speed driving, the stability was good at speeds of 130km/h.

Differences from Camry and interior space experience

The owner also expressed opinions regarding the differences from the competing model, the Honda Camry. They mentioned hearing from a Camry owner that "the Accord has more sections where it drives using the motor and the ride quality is firmer," and stated that they also chose the Accord because a firm ride quality was suitable for them. However, they noted that in terms of seat comfort, the Camry or Crown models are superior.

Regarding the interior space, the owner positively evaluated that the interior is spacious as much as the overall length has increased. They also expressed satisfaction with the center fascia configuration, large cup holders, and the classic gear knob design. However, the lack of height adjustment or front angle adjustment for the passenger seat, and the absence of adjustment functions for the second-row seats, were cited as disappointing points.

Lacking convenience features and electrical errors

In terms of convenience features, points of comparison with domestic cars were mentioned. The owner cited the absence of around-view monitoring and a power trunk, as well as the lack of ambient lighting, as disappointing elements. Additionally, they explained that since there is no native navigation, the use of Apple CarPlay is essential.

Issues regarding the stability of electrical components were also raised. The owner said they experienced the inconvenience of the Apple CarPlay connection suddenly cutting out while driving, and once it cuts out, it does not recover until the vehicle is restarted. Along with this, they also mentioned the possibility of errors in some electrical devices such as the rain sensor.
