Xdinary Heroes, 'IMPULSE' Jacket Photo Shoot Site... From Museum Break-ins to Performance Venues

The group Xdinary Heroes showcased diverse concepts through the jacket photo shoot site for their new album 'IMPULSE'. The released making-of video contains the process of the members striving to capture the album's atmosphere within different spaces and outfits.

Disordered sets and antique museums, variations given by space

On the first day of shooting, the members revealed the colors of the album in an unorganized space. In the shoot held in a set where sofas were overturned and items were scattered, the members focused on creating a natural feeling as if they had stirred up the space. In particular, one member showed a transformed appearance, different from before, through staging using crystal lighting and a hair transformation using pieces. He shared that he completed his preparations beautifully, including changing his hairstyle and adding color to his face for this shoot.

The background of the spaces was also ever-changing. In a set that felt antique yet somewhat twisted, they expressed a playful appearance as if they had secretly broken into a museum or art gallery. The members participated in the shoot by attempting various expressions and movements to reveal their own personalities within the static spaces. In this process, one member also created a different atmosphere from before through a look with bangs down and unique costumes.

Memories of the performance venue and meeting mysterious locations

The shoot continuing the album's concept was also conducted in a space reminiscent of an actual performance venue. In the shoot utilizing YES24 LIVE HALL, a performance venue containing the members' memories, as a set, concept photos followed where they appeared to be handling instruments while preparing for a performance. The empty performance venue set and the halo lighting shining on the individuals created an atmosphere as if watching behind-the-scenes cuts of an actual concert. The members expressed their amazement at seeing the place where they always perform decorated as a set and conveyed the atmosphere of the site.

In addition, shooting was conducted at locations exuding a mysterious and dreamy atmosphere. The members worked to visually implement the desire and atmosphere aimed for by the album 'IMPULSE' in accordance with the characteristics of each location. During the shooting process, the members revealed the liveliness of the site by spending their break times in their own ways, such as checking each other's transformed looks, touching instruments, or dancing. The shoot continued through the second day of work, sustaining the journey to capture the album's message.
