SEVENTEEN's WONWOO Shows Off Camera Collection, Including a Hasselblad Bought by Members for His Birthday
At fans' request, SEVENTEEN's WONWOO introduced the cameras he has collected, from a Hasselblad X2D given by the members to his first Leica. He also talked about the Nikon, Sony, film models and Ricoh he uses.

The most expensive camera in SEVENTEEN member WONWOO's collection is a Hasselblad X2D that the other members pooled money to give him as a birthday present. At fans' request, he took out the film and digital cameras he has gathered, from his beginner days to the most recent tour, and shared his love of photography and the records he has made with them.
The gift and the first Leica
WONWOO handles the Hasselblad very carefully. Its 12-bit color depth gives excellent color reproduction, so colors come out beautifully in post-processing. He recalled using it during the filming of SEVENTEEN's "Super" music video, when members were jumping on bouncy houses or enjoying a trampoline, and when shooting night views.
The list also includes his first Leica, the first branded piece of equipment he bought himself with money earned through hard work. Instead of the black model, he chose the special white edition and used it until age changed its color, so he now keeps it on display. As the first camera he met after becoming interested in photography, it holds special meaning for him.
From a first Nikon to a tour-day Sony and film bodies
The camera he reaches for first these days is a high-end Sony body, which went with him throughout the recent tour. After buying it, he visited Bongeunsa and photographed lotus flowers and the scenery, and it also holds the moment of singing carols at Disney during the US tour. He added that it is the first thing he packs when he goes out.
His first camera, by contrast, was a Nikon, recommended by the person teaching him photography when he began learning in earnest. He wanted a reasonably priced camera rather than costly equipment, and he practiced on it repeatedly. It holds records from the days when he shot between schedules and practiced editing after returning to the dorm, and it can be spotted in a photo of him with fellow member DK on a street in Japan, both wearing purple ivory and a purple tracksuit. WONWOO said it produced lovely results for natural scenery, so he often used it on trips to forests or the sea.

His interest in film cameras runs deep. He is so attached to a used Nikon film camera bought in Japan that he carried it onto the stage during the tour to take photos. He admitted he was clumsy with his first roll and ruined the film, describing it as trial and error while building his knowledge of photography. He also cited its pleasant shutter sound as something that adds to the fun of shooting, and he liked the image quality enough to buy an additional lens.
The camera he used at overseas festivals in places such as Germany and the UK is also a film model. He explained that he chose it because the design is pretty and because it satisfied him so much that he no longer needed to buy any other film camera. Recently he has been carrying a portable sub camera in a leather case on short overseas trips and during tours. That includes a Ricoh, which he bought during the Japan tour after seeing it was the last one left in the store, and which he uses as a sub camera on overseas schedules because it is easy to carry.
