Kang So-yeon Wins Women's Longest Drive at MAJESTY Event With a 310–315 m Shot
Kang So-yeon won the women's longest drive at MAJESTY's 55th anniversary event at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club, playing a round with pro Yoo Gi-hyeon. The pro received a MAJESTY PRESTIGIO No. 54 club set as a prize.

Kang So-yeon took first place in the women's longest drive at MAJESTY's 55th anniversary event at Woo Jeong Hills Country Club, hitting a distance of 310 to 315 meters. She played the round with pro Yoo Gi-hyeon and reached the mark she had set out to achieve.
A round built around a prize hole
The event marked MAJESTY's 55th anniversary, with a range of prizes and event holes set up for participants. Yoo Gi-hyeon, who played the round with winner Kang So-yeon, was presented with a MAJESTY PRESTIGIO No. 54 club set as a prize. Kang So-yeon had come to the course specifically for the occasion, and her drives made use of the downhill terrain.
Downhill power and a past long-drive win
On her driver shots, Kang So-yeon recorded a carry of 225 meters and a total distance of about 240 meters. She mentioned that she once won a long-drive contest with a shot of 215 yards, and she said she expected to hit long again in this round.

Yoo Gi-hyeon explained the character of the MAJESTY clubs. He said they are high-rebound clubs with fine detail that draws on the skills of Japanese metalworking artisans, and that they are designed to help golfers who struggle with the game send the ball farther more easily.
Rough, core strength and course management
Woo Jeong Hills Country Club has a long history, and its layout made play from the rough a challenge. Yoo said a golfer with less strength can find the club pushed back in the rough, and advised opening the clubface a little more than usual. When she hit a slice or the ball drifted to the right, Kang So-yeon adjusted her tee position and concentrated on attacking the course.
During the round, Kang So-yeon mentioned that she had finished first in a squat competition and stressed the importance of a solid lower body and core. Yoo Gi-hyeon introduced a stretch worth doing before golf and demonstrated it: legs apart, in a hinge position, one hand on the waist, rotating around the spine while engaging the core.

Taking the lead late in the round
Beating the event's main mission, the women's longest drive with a MAJESTY club, came late in the round. Kang So-yeon's 310 to 315 meters made her the participant who sent the ball farthest among the women on site. "Actually, it wasn't hitting well earlier, but I was lucky," she said.
