The entire process concludes in the blink of an eye. Performing under the nickname "The 1-Second Girl," Park Se-ryeong's sports stacking performance overwhelmed the venue.
The sports stacking showcased by Park Se-ryeong on a stage of TV CHOSUN's 'Miss & Mister Trot' was a record-competitive sport that goes beyond simple cup stacking. Having recorded 1st place in Germany and 3rd place in the world at the 2022 World Championships, Park Se-ryeong demonstrated precise and rapid hand movements that belied her young age as a first-grade elementary student. Sports stacking is a sport where participants compete for records by stacking and unstacking cups in various ways, and it is known to be highly beneficial for improving concentration.

"I wanted to be better than my brother" — The sibling rivalry that created a world No. 3
The motivation for Park Se-ryeong to enter this sport was an unexpectedly everyday sibling rivalry. Park Se-ryeong revealed that while she was in the fourth grade of elementary school, she was inspired by watching her brother stacking cups in the living room and started because she "wanted to be better than him." By pursuing the goal of defeating her brother, she progressed to 1st place nationally and eventually achieved a world ranking of 3rd.
On this stage, various events were conducted to highlight the characteristics of sports stacking, which helps improve concentration. The events ranged from '333', which uses three cups, to '363', which uses six cups. The 333 event takes an average of about 1.9 seconds. The subsequent 363 event uses three and six cups, with a competition record of 1.9 seconds and an average of about 2.5 to 2.6 seconds. Park Se-ryeong proved her world-class skill by recording 2.3 seconds in the 363 event, exceeding the average.
From high-difficulty 'Cycle' to breaking the 6.5-second record
The moment of highest tension was the 'Cycle' event, considered the pinnacle of high-difficulty techniques in sports stacking. Regarded as the most difficult technique in stacking performances, this event has official records in the 5.3-second range and an average in the 6-second range. Park Se-ryeong took on the challenge while steadying her trembling heart, and the result was astonishing. Surpassing her previous goal of 6.76 seconds, she recorded 6.5 seconds, drawing gasps from the audience.
Park Se-ryeong's performance did not focus solely on speed. Her ability to perfectly time the button presses during the stacking and unstacking process imprinted the precision of sports stacking on the audience. During the performance, Park Jeong-min and Yoo Ji-woo stepped up as challengers to continue the atmosphere by performing the 333 event. The 333 event is conducted by removing one cup with the right hand to set it aside and stacking the cups with the left hand. Park Jeong-min performed with a record of 6.89 seconds, while Yoo Ji-woo recorded 11 seconds.
After completing all events, Park Se-ryeong concluded her stage by earning 200 points from the judges. Her "1-second magic" performance, which ends in an instant if one closes their eyes, powerfully conveyed the charm of sports stacking to those present at the scene.
