The cast of 2 Days and 1 Night Season 4 competed in a 100m relay race wearing special costumes and fins at Sinsu Park in Incheon on the 1st. Although they failed to meet the 30-second target, the members secured 80 gold coins after reducing their time from 39.2 to 35.2 seconds.

Members of the real wild road variety show '2 Days and 1 Night' Season 4 challenged themselves to an extreme running mission to acquire gold coins against the backdrop of the beach at Sinsu Park in Incheon. In an episode broadcast on the 1st, KBS 2TV's '2 Days and 1 Night' Season 4 captured the unique relay race competition held by the members at an urban beach park.

'Mysterious Sextet' running 100m in fins and special costumes

Gathered at the calm beach of Sinsu Park in Incheon, the members faced their second mission, the 'Mysterious Sextet Relay Race.' The mission conditions were demanding: all members had to wear special costumes prepared by the production team and run a 100m relay, finishing within the 30-second time limit. Success would earn them 100 gold coins, but the structure required 10 gold coins to be deducted for each attempt.

The prepared costumes served as a variable in the mission. Instead of a baton, members had to wear fin-shaped equipment called "baltong." Members wearing dachshund-shaped costumes and fins faced restricted movement on the sand. The members began strategizing, considering the discomfort of the costumes and the traction on the sand. In particular, members wearing the fins showed confidence, stating, "It seems like it might be more comfortable to run wearing the fins."

A struggle to reduce time from 39.2 seconds to 35.2 seconds

In their first attempt, the members recorded 39.2 seconds, exceeding the 30-second limit. This was because running in special costumes on the sand was more difficult than expected. To shorten the record, the members discussed various methods, such as using additional gold coins to extend the time limit or adjusting speeds for each section.

The members decided to retry to reduce the 9.2 seconds they lacked in the first attempt. In the second attempt, they focused on coordinating their breathing and increased their speed. As a result, the members recorded 35.2 seconds, achieving a 4-second reduction from the first attempt. Although they did not finish within the target 30 seconds, they succeeded in securing 80 gold coins by making the attempt while deducting coins.

The intense running competition of the members, in contrast to the peaceful scenery of the beach, delivered both tension and fun to the scene. After completing the mission, the members were seen resting while enjoying the beach scenery, hinting at the next journey.
