The creator group BDNS held its second Otaku Presentation at their studio to test content production capabilities, offering two types of SIDIZ chairs worth approximately 1 million won to the first-place winner. The event coincided with the launch of the T60 LARGE, a renewed model featuring a larger backrest and seat designed for larger users.
The creator group BDNS held a unique presentation at their studio to test their content production capabilities and input. Moving beyond a simple video-sharing session, the event drew attention as a process for team members to prove whether the time they spend sitting in chairs translates into content value.
"Testing the value of sitting in a chair"... Contest with chairs worth 1 million won
The 2nd Otaku Presentation, held at the BDNS studio, coincided with the launch of the T60 LARGE, a renewed model from SIDIZ. Featuring a larger backrest and seat, as well as higher armrests and a higher center pole compared to the existing model, the new product is designed to provide comfort for larger users. Based on their experience using the existing T60 model, the team members experienced the changes in the renewed large-sized version, noting the increased headrest height and wider dimensions. They also recalled an anecdote from their past Sangsu-dong studio where they spent a day assembling chairs themselves, noting the change in environment where an installation technician now visits to assist with assembly.
As rewards for this presentation, the team offered two types of chairs worth approximately 1 million won (T60 LARGE and the standard size). The video conveyed the intent to test whether sitting in a chair is simply wasting time or if it is time spent accumulating input that aids creativity. One team member expressed excitement at the thought of how much value these chairs could create, stating they wanted to test the value of sitting in them.
The first-place winner will receive both types of chairs, the third-place winner will receive a one-year subscription to an OTT service, and it was announced that from fourth place onward, "massive recognition attacks and insults" await, adding to the playful atmosphere of the scene. The presentation is scheduled to proceed by drawing the best and worst presenters anonymously.
From EBS Space to Taxi... Recommending masterpiece scenes focused on "binge-watching"
Considering that the team members are not well-versed in animation, the presentation was conducted by introducing content suitable for "binge-watching" that can be enjoyed immersively in a short amount of time. Presenters focused on delivering the context of why a work should be watched now without spoiling the plot or the ending.
One presenter recommended EBS Space, a music live clip series that began its first performance on April 1, 2004, and has accumulated 1,722 episodes to date. In the video, watching live clips was cited as one of the best ways to listen to music, emphasizing the value of performing and singing differently during a live session compared to listening to a produced track. In particular, they explained the charm of vivid live performances held in small halls, conveying the characteristics of the content as something that can be enjoyed regardless of order depending on one's mood.
Additionally, works that allow for binge-watching with a short rhythm, such as the drama Taxi, were introduced. A major selling point was that all episodes are composed of approximately 30 minutes, making it possible to complete the series in a single day. Presenters explained the core settings and situations of masterpiece scenes, suggesting "binge-watch optimized" content that busy modern people can enjoy without burden. They particularly emphasized that each episode has a representative song and that it is a perfect package for binge-watching for modern people whose flow is easily interrupted by notifications or phone calls.
Will the renewed T60 LARGE become the new center of the studio?
This event also served as an opportunity to introduce the renewed version of the chairs actually being used by the BDNS team. The members shared their impressions of the increased headrest height and wider seat compared to the existing model, mentioning changes in the studio environment. The increase in the size of the backrest and seat for larger users was particularly notable.
Meanwhile, Nepda Sale × SIDIZ LIVE, which introduces the SIDIZ T60 LARGE model, is scheduled to take place on November 8 at 11:00 AM via Naver Shopping Live. Additionally, applications for the experience group to directly test the product can be made through Instagram (@bdnspresents) until November 7.
