Young K to release 2nd full-length album 'YOUNGEST' on the 27th
DAY6 Young K is making a comeback on July 27th with his 2nd full-length album 'YOUNGEST'. The album features all self-composed tracks, and news of a solo concert in Incheon this August has been announced.
Young K, a member of the group DAY6, has begun the countdown to his solo comeback by revealing the lyrics to his new songs. Young K will release his 2nd full-length album 'YOUNGEST' on July 27 at 6 PM and officially begin his promotions.
On the afternoon of the 18th, Young K uploaded lyric spoiler videos for the tracks 'Marionette' and 'Drivin’ into Hell' from the new album via DAY6's official SNS channels. In the videos, Young K previews the mood of the songs by reciting the lyrics he wrote himself. In the video for the 1st track 'Marionette,' featuring a fox hand puppet, he showcased lyrics such as "Even if I stumble, I am happy, falling is fun, awkwardness feels like luck to me." In the video for the 10th track 'Drivin’ into Hell,' he conveyed the song's emotion by reciting, "I won't think about tomorrow, seeing you smiling I'm okay, even if it's an ending in sight, Don't care."
2nd full-length album with 15 tracks, showcasing the capabilities of a singer-songwriter who participated in writing and composing all songs
This 2nd full-length album 'YOUNGEST' is the culmination of Young K's musical spectrum. It contains an extensive tracklist of 15 songs, including the title track 'Shut The Door.' The included tracks are 'Marionette', 'Drivin’ into Hell', 'F world', 'Hey Honey', 'Cheer Song', 'SPIKE', 'Yonge St.', 'million reasons', '100 Reasons Why We Break Up (with JINJOO of DNCE)', 'whatever', 'Goodbye, Love', 'Heading Home', 'Baby's Breath', and 'Coffee in the Studio.' In particular, '100 Reasons Why We Break Up' draws attention as JINJOO of the world-renowned band DNCE participated as a featured artist.
Young K fully revealed his side as an artist in this album as well. Following his previously released solo 1st mini-album 'Eternal' and 1st full-length album 'Letters with notes,' he directly participated in writing and composing all 15 tracks of this 2nd full-length album. His agency explained that this album captures the various aspects he encountered in the process of approaching his inner self and music honestly as an artist.
Solo tour to be held at Incheon Inspire Arena in August
After the music release, stages to meet fans in person will also be prepared. Young K will hold his solo concert 'Young K Solo Tour < YOUNGEST > in INCHEON' for three days from August 14 to 16 at the Incheon Inspire Arena. This concert will serve as the starting point for the solo tour following the release of his 2nd full-length album, providing an opportunity to witness the new musical colors he will showcase through this album in person.
