izna's Love and Mai selected as special MCs for 'Inkigayo'
izna's Love and Mai will serve as special MCs for SBS 'Inkigayo', replacing &TEAM's EJ and TWS's Shinyu, who are away on their Japanese schedule.
The love and Mai of the group izna will take the microphone on SBS 'Inkigayo'. In the 1318th episode of 'Inkigayo' airing on the 19th, the existing MCs, &TEAM's EJ and TWS's Shinyu, will be absent due to their schedules in Japan. Baby Don't Cry's Lee Hyun-yi will lead the broadcast as part of a special MC lineup along with Sarang and Mai.
Mai, who debuted after 'I-LAND2', makes her MC debut ahead of her expansion into Japan
After going through 'I-LAND' and completing the 'I-LAND2' process, Mai officially debuted as a member of izna in 2024. In a recent interview held at the WakeOne Entertainment practice room in Mapo-gu, Seoul, Mai described her debut in Korea as "destiny."
izna is preparing for activities with the goal of debuting in Japan this coming September. During the interview, Mai showed off her unrivaled aura while posing in the practice room. From Sunmi to (G)I-DLE, Inkigayo features a lineup of powerful comeback stages
The stage lineup for 'Inkigayo' airing on the 19th includes comeback performances by Sunmi, Lee Min-hyuk (HUTA), UAU, Chungju Jjisi, Juniel, GIRLSET, Trendz, Choi Seong-yun (Y), idntt, and DAILY:DIRECTION. This will be followed by performances from (G)I-DLE, Yeonjun, Kihyun (Monsta), RESCENE, AHOF, CLASSy, Jang Han-eum, VAYONN, Lee Ye-ji, and UDTT.
'Inkigayo' chart scores are calculated by combining digital music 50%, SNS 20%, albums 10%, ON AIR 10%, pre-voting 5%, and real-time voting 5%.
