In the 5th episode of tvN’s ‘Street Restaurant Fighter’ (hereafter ‘Street Restaurant Fighter’), which aired on the 19th, chefs competed over menu composition, inventory management, and turnover rates under the conditions of a limited budget and a festival commercial district. Starting with a duel between French masters, the competition continued with price-based matches: the lowest price match in the 5,000 won range, the highest price match in the 35,000 won range, and a duel in the 20,000 won range.

Edward Kwon's Kitchen Reorganization and Jung Ho-young's 2:0 Decisive Victory

In the duel between French masters, Edward Kwon of ‘Ma Sikdang’ seized the upper hand. As the kitchen operations became overloaded due to a surge in orders, Edward Kwon immediately deployed a Chinese wok to reorganize the kitchen workflow. He secured a victory against Im Gi-hak of ‘Bola Bol,’ quickly reading the demand of the festival commercial district.

In the 5,000 won range lowest price match, Japanese chefs Jung Ho-young and Kim Min-seong faced off. Jung Ho-young took the early momentum by presenting Black Pork Tteokgalbi Rolls, which could serve as both a meal and a snack. On the other hand, Kim Min-seong presented a Saewookkang and Eomukkkang set, but fell behind in sales by missing the characteristics of the commercial district during mealtime.

As the second-half menu sold out early, Jung Ho-young responded quickly with Menchi Katsu, securing a final 2:0 victory. Actor Go Kyung-pyo appeared on site and personally experienced a live sashimi slicing and seasoning performance.

Kim Ho-yun's Mistake and Ko Seok-hyeon's Comeback

The 35,000 won range highest price match was held between team ‘Gyeol,’ led by former Michelin 2-star sous chef Kim Ho-yun, and team ‘Agungi’ led by Ko Seok-hyeon. In the first half, Kim Ho-yun's team took the lead with tenderloin steak and boiling seafood. However, the atmosphere flipped as Ko Seok-hyeon's team successively released Shanghai Butter Chicken, Naples Pizza, spicy and sour seasoned squid, and butter steak yukjeon.

Kim Ho-yun's team wavered throughout the operation. The beef brisket stir-fried hot pot released for additional attacks ran low on ingredients, and complaints were raised during the cooking process that it "tasted burnt." Ultimately, Ko Seok-hyeon's team achieved a comeback victory in the star rating evaluation. The defeated Kim Ho-yun expressed his feelings, saying, "It has been delicious for 10 years, but if it becomes tasteless in the 11th year, it is difficult to guarantee the future."

Lee Yeon-bok and Kim Kwan-hun's 20,000 won Range Duel

In the final 20,000 won range duel, Chinese cuisine master Lee Yeon-bok's ‘Bok-Bok’ faced Kim Kwan-hun's ‘Everything About Tteokbokki.’ Lee Yeon-bok led the early sales with abalone shrimp cold dish and five-spice chicken leg tonkatsu.

Lee Yeon-bok finished his business without additional sales due to insufficient inventory and star rating management issues. Kim Kwan-hun aimed for a sales reversal with spicy Mara Tang Dak-sok Myeon Bokki and a fried set. The final results of the two teams' duel will be revealed in the next broadcast.
