Lim Young-woong surpasses 14.2 billion streams on Melon and his fan club's
Lim Young-woong has achieved 14.2 billion cumulative streams on Melon, and his fan club 'Raon' delivered their 61st nutritious food service and donations to Rodem's House in Yangpyeong.
Singer Lim Young-woong continues his record-breaking journey, surpassing 14.2 billion cumulative streams on Melon, Korea's largest music platform. This figure represents an additional 100 million streams in just 20 days after reaching 14.1 billion on the 28th of last month. Even without a newly released song, an average of 5 million users flock to his music daily, solidifying his position as the number one artist in cumulative streaming history on Melon, a member of the 'Diamond Club'.
This record is not due to the short-term popularity of a specific song, but rather a structure where all his released songs are consistently played at the top of the charts. It is evaluated that he has built a unique music ecosystem by combining the powerful influence of his fan club, 'Hero Generation', with a wide listening base ranging from middle-aged people to the 10s-30s generation. The virtuous cycle, where his humble daily life shown through the recent SBS variety show 'Mountain Bachelor Hero' increased public intimacy and led to music consumption, also contributed to this success.
The 61st nutritious meal sharing delivered to Rodem's House in Yangpyeong
Lim Young-woong's positive influence also extends to the activities of his fandom. 'Raon', the volunteer sharing group within Lim Young-woong's fan club 'Hero Generation', visited 'Rodem's House', a residential facility for children with severe disabilities located in Yangpyeong, Gyeonggi-do, on July 18 to conduct their 61st meal service. On this day, members personally cooked and provided a menu focused on nutritious foods, such as ginseng chicken porridge, beef cabbage soybean paste soup, shrimp chive pancakes, potato salad, and seasoned tomatoes, for the children exhausted by the sweltering heat.
In addition to the meals, abundant support was added to the volunteer site. Members prepared snacks that children enjoy, such as candies, cookies, milk, and beverages, along with seasonal fruits like bananas, oriental melons, oranges, and watermelons. In particular, they provided practical help for the facility's operation by delivering fresh ingredients, including 11kg of Hanwoo beef brisket. Additionally, a donation of 2.01 million won was delivered to support the children's living expenses.
On the day of the service, heavy rain fell in the early morning, making it difficult to transport the food ingredients. However, the members who traveled from Seoul to Yangpyeong dedicated themselves to serving and cooking so that the children could spend a healthy summer, even in the hot kitchen environment.
The flow of grand records leading to Goyang Stadium
The overwhelming indicators on the music charts connect to the upcoming offline stages. Lim Young-woong will hold the stadium concert 'IM HERO - THE STADIUM 2' at the Goyang Stadium Main Stadium for three days starting September 4. Having already proven his powerful ticket power by selling out all seats for all sessions, this performance is expected to meet the audience with an even larger scale and stage production.
Lim Young-woong is expanding his field of activity by completing the flow from record-breaking streaming numbers on music platforms and the friendly image built through broadcasts to large-scale stadium performances. The September Goyang performance is expected to be the pinnacle of this grand march of records.
