Yeonjun's 'Ice Cream' reaches #1 on Bugs · Collaboration product sells 40,000 units
Tomorrow X Together's Yeonjun's new song 'Ice Cream' achieved 1st place on the Bugs weekly chart and won two music show awards, and 40,000 collaboration ice creams were sold out.
Tomorrow X Together (TXT)'s Yeonjun has reached the top of the charts with his new song 'Ice Cream'. The title track 'Ice Cream' from Yeonjun's 2nd mini album 'NO LABELS: PART 02' ranked 1st on the Bugs Weekly Chart aggregated from July 13 to 19. The song, which entered the top 10 after only three days of aggregation in its first week of release, climbed 8 spots in one week to claim the top position.
Success on music shows followed. Starting with KBS2 'Music Bank' on the 17th, Yeonjun achieved two wins on music shows by consecutively taking 1st place on MBC 'Show! Music Core' on the 18th. This album recorded sales of 738,072 copies within a week of its release. This is the highest first-week sales among Korean solo artist albums released this year. Yeonjun, who debuted as a member of the group TXT in 2019, has demonstrated his presence through this solo activity following his activities as an MC on SBS 'Inkigayo'.
Collaborative product sets a record by selling out 40,000 ice creams
The success of the digital single has spread to the consumer goods market. GS25 collaborated with the premium dessert brand Yoajung and dessert manufacturer Lolo Melo to launch the 'Sour Lemon Yogurt' cup product, reflecting the 'Ice Cream' concept. This product sold out its initial stock of approximately 40,000 units. This is a record for the shortest period to exhaust initial stock among K-pop artist collaboration products in 2026.
The product included a package design capturing the song's concept, along with mini photo cards and random stickers. The intense sourness, designed to target the 'Brain Freeze' phenomenon that occurs when eating ice cream too quickly, received a positive response from consumers. An official from the convenience store that planned the product stated that they are currently discussing additional production as the collaboration product with Yeonjun recorded sales far exceeding expectations immediately after its release.
Short-form content showcasing comic chemistry with Park Ji-hwan
Three pieces of 'Ice Cream' related short-form content released on Tomorrow X Together's official YouTube channel drew attention for the comic chemistry between actor Park Ji-hwan and Yeonjun. The videos featured a setting where one changes their mood with a bite of ice cream in angry or frustrating situations. Fans reacted to the unconventional content composition, to the point of double-checking if it was indeed the official account. Comments such as "This content induces bursts of laughter," "Watching the content makes me keep listening to the song," and "I'm excited to see how far 'Ice Cream' will expand" followed in succession.
The success of the digital content led to viral popularity of the song. As of 1 PM on the 20th, related videos on TikTok exceeded 84,000, and the song also ranked 2nd on the platform's music chart, 'Viral 50'.
