On the 27th, their agency, SM Entertainment, released a highlight medley video for their summer mini-album 'Velvet Summer' via Red Velvet's official social media channels. This new release marks their first full-group musical endeavor since 'Cosmic,' released in June 2024.

From Bossa Nova to Orchestra: Five Tracks Capturing the Essence of Summer

The released highlight medley features mysterious illustrations reminiscent of turning book pages, offering a glimpse into the atmosphere of the included tracks. The opening track, 'Orchestra,' is a reinterpretation of 'Lujon' by American film composer Henry Mancini, expressing the shifting emotions of two lovers through orchestral arrangements.

Following this, 'Hot Girls Cold Vibe' captures the cool energy of those enjoying a summer night drive. The acoustic pop track 'Hawaii' depicts letting go of daily worries to embrace the freedom dreamed of in childhood. 'Hula Hoop' is a bright, upbeat medium-tempo pop song that sings of a dazzling summer day spent with a fated connection.
