NOWZ to release new single 'Achilles' on August 5
NOWZ is making a comeback with their new single "Achilles" after 10 months. They have announced a retro-concept scheduler and their upcoming appearance at the Ocean World Festival on August 2.
The group NOWADAYS is set to return to the spotlight, breaking a nearly 10-month hiatus. On the 27th, their agency, Cube Entertainment, kicked off the comeback countdown by releasing the teaser scheduler for their digital single 'Achilles' via the official SNS channels of NOWADAYS (Hyun Bin, Yun, Yeon-woo, Jin-hyeok, Si-yun).
The newly released scheduler is characterized by an aesthetic reminiscent of 1980s movie posters. By incorporating the light bleeding typical of vintage television screens, coarse film textures, and retro color tones, the group has leaned heavily into an analog sensibility. Following their third single 'Play Ball' released last November, NOWADAYS is expected to return with a more mature image through this new track.
A relay of teasers from audio to music video
A detailed schedule leading up to the comeback has also been unveiled. NOWADAYS will first reveal the musical color of the new song with an audio teaser on the 28th. This will be followed by three different versions of concept photos released sequentially from the 29th to the 31st, signaling a visual transformation. Just before the comeback, music video teasers will be released consecutively on August 3rd and 4th, aiming to drive fan anticipation to its peak.
Previously, a concept teaser poster capturing the intense gaze of member Si-yun had been released. With the addition of this scheduler, the full promotional trajectory for NOWADAYS is now complete. The new digital single 'Achilles' will be released worldwide through various online music platforms on August 5th at 6 PM.
Pre-release performance at Ocean World Festival
Ahead of the digital release, NOWADAYS will assert their presence on the summer stage. They are scheduled to perform at the '2026 Ocean World Blue Splash' summer festival held at Ocean World on August 2nd. At this event, NOWADAYS is expected to heat up the summer festival atmosphere with a diverse set of performances, including the performance of their new song 'Achilles'.
