Wanna One's Bae Jin Young and Kwak Woo-jin Hold 'Trash Battle' in Haenam... Kwak Woo-jin Takes 1st Place with 2.1kg Collected

Members of the group Wanna One continued their self-sufficient journey through "plogging," picking up trash in Haenam, Jeollanam-do.

In the first episode of "Specks Gathered, Ton-cation," released on September 15 through the YouTube channel 'DALLA STUDIO', Wanna One members visited Ttangkkeut Village in Haenam to perform an unusual mission where they rank themselves based on the weight of trash collected. This video is composed of an eco & healing travelogue documenting the process of the members being self-sufficient for two days and one night and solving their meals through bartering with the elderly in Haenam.

First meeting in Haenam starting with a tardiness commotion

At the beginning of the video, the members gathered ahead of the filming in Haenam. Based on the appointment time of 11:00 AM, the arrival status of the members was revealed; Bae Jin Young arrived first and proceeded with the opening, but a situation where he had to wait due to the tardiness of other members unfolded. In the video, as some members including Kwak Woo-jin arrived late, jokes mixed with rebukes regarding their tardiness and mentions of penalties were exchanged.

Before starting the filming, the members prepared for UV protection by applying sunscreen, foreshadowing their full-scale activities. The video included conversations about the importance of UV protection along with scenes of them applying sunscreen.

'Trash Battle' results, Kwak Woo-jin takes 1st place with 2.1kg

The main mission proceeded as a 'Trash Battle', where they collected trash around the Haenam area and measured the weight. The members searched for surrounding trash using tongs and plastic bags. In the video, a competition took place to increase their weight by picking up trash thrown on the roadside or checking near trash cans.

As a result of measuring the weight of the collected trash, 1st place was Kwak Woo-jin, who recorded 2.1kg. Following him, 2nd place was Ha Seong-hun with 1.98kg, 3rd place was Bae Jin Young with 1.51kg, and the member who collected 1.2kg was recorded as the lowest. The ranking for this mission was determined based on the weight of the collected trash.

Self-sufficient mission continuing with bartering

Depending on the mission results, the members were given items as rewards that they could use to barter with the elderly in Haenam. KitKat was given to 1st place Kwak Woo-jin, What's up products to 2nd place Ha Seong-hun, and coffee products to 3rd place, among others. The members face the next stage of the task, where they must use these items obtained through the weight of the collected trash to exchange with local elderly people in Haenam to solve their meals.
