A participant of the JTBC entertainment program 'Love War' mentioned the psychological scars and inappropriate remarks from her partner experienced during her past divorce process. In a video of the program broadcast on September 21, 2026, it was covered how the words she heard from her partner while discussing her past relationship and the reasons for her divorce caused mental suffering.

Remarks blaming the individual for the divorce and the 'mirroring' response

The participant in the video revealed that she suffered physical and mental pain due to violent organ rupture caused by her ex-husband in the past. The participant reported that the partner mentioned her past reasons for divorce and made remarks to the effect of, "Because you did something wrong, your husband must have committed such problems." In other words, he employed a logic that seemed to shift the responsibility for his criminal actions or wrongs onto the victim.

In response, the participant explained that she used a 'mirroring' method, returning to the partner exactly the way he had done it. Since he used logic suggesting that the fault for the divorce might lie with her by bringing up the story that he divorced frequently after fighting with his second wife, the participant also responded by using his past divorce cases as examples to suggest that the fault might also lie with him. This was explained as an attempt to make him recognize the situation he had put her in by applying the exact same logical structure of the words he had spoken.

The psychological shock of the moment she felt "You don't love me"

The participant lamented that these remarks from the partner went beyond a simple difference of opinion and dealt a serious emotional blow. Even though the partner was aware of how much she had suffered and struggled in the past, he made remarks in the context of, "Why did you think you were hit?" The participant mentioned that she was in a situation where she should not have spoken, knowing that if she spoke in that manner, the partner might feel the same way he was feeling.

The participant said that the moment she heard his words, she realized the fact that, "This person does not love me." She added that she had to go to the hospital because her head ached due to his remarks, and she became in a more mentally difficult state than before meeting him. The participant expressed her sad feelings, stating that she had been in a brighter and healthier state than in the past, but became mentally like this due to these incidents.
