Singer Im Chang-jung revealed behind-the-scenes stories regarding his movie-like first meeting and marriage process with his wife, Seo Ha-yan. According to the TV CHOSUN 'Home-Style Meal Travels' video, Im Chang-jung recalled the situation when he first met his wife and shared his proactive attitude at the time.

"Please buy me a beer" An unusual first meeting that led to a connection

Im Chang-jung stated that his first meeting with his wife Seo Ha-yan was very unique. At the time, Im Chang-jung was having a meal with a friend and eating side dishes when Seo Ha-yan, who was behind them, approached and requested, "Please buy me just one beer." Im Chang-jung said that although he was flustered by Seo Ha-yan's appearance of asking for a beer despite being a guest, he immediately felt an attraction. He explained that he felt, "That's it. Now I have a reaction," and continued his courtship by actively contacting her and asking for her number starting from the next day.

It also appeared that the family's reaction was intense during the marriage process. Im Chang-jung conveyed his firm feelings toward his wife and recalled that there was a commotion within the household at the time. In particular, the interest from the family was so high that his older sister, who was residing in China, hurriedly returned to the country after receiving a call from their mother, and he added that his wife also expressed that she is happiest and laughs the most when she is with Im Chang-jung.

A 24-year expertise full course enjoying a whole pufferfish

In this video, a pufferfish cooking course presented by a chef holding a pufferfish certification was introduced. The pufferfish sashimi was served with water parsley, and in particular, the texture of the thickly sliced pufferfish sashimi was emphasized to suit modern tastes. The chef utilized various parts of the pufferfish, such as serving the pufferfish skin as a seasoned dish or boiling the only non-toxic part as a soup. Pufferfish have very hard teeth that look similar to human teeth, a characteristic through which they survive.

In the following course, pufferfish bulgogi and karaage (fried food) made by cooking a whole pufferfish appeared. Pufferfish bulgogi is characterized by a spicy seasoning, but the chef explained that 90% of the seasoning consists of radish, so it is not irritating and pairs well with the fish. In particular, using kelp extract for the seasoning and using sesame oil to supplement the characteristics of the fat-less pufferfish were mentioned as secrets. The karaage, which fried a whole pufferfish, presented a taste comparable to chicken.

From sashimi to hot pot, the transformation of pufferfish with nothing to waste

The end of the pufferfish course was finished with pufferfish hot pot (jiri) boiled from the live fish left after slicing the sashimi. The video captured a composition that continued from the pufferfish fry, which fried a whole pufferfish, to the spicy pufferfish bulgogi, the light sashimi, and the hot pot with refreshing broth. Based on 24 years of expertise, the chef demonstrated cooking methods using a whole pufferfish, showing the diverse aspects of pufferfish dishes. Through the process of grilling, frying, and boiling, a rich feast was completed using all parts of the pufferfish.
