The condition of the food ingredients inside the cast members' refrigerators was at a shocking level. In a special video for JTBC's 'Chef & My Fridge', the expiration dates and actual states of the food items kept by cast members including Lee Eun-ji and Ha Seok-jin were revealed without filter.
"I'll wait until next year to complete 10 years then throw it away"... Lee Eun-ji's 'bursting' refrigerator
The refrigerator of single-person household Lee Eun-ji was packed with food ingredients. Upon opening the refrigerator door, the cast members expressed surprise at the sheer volume, remarking that the refrigerator "looks like it's going to burst." Lee Eun-ji stated that she enjoys eating vegetable salads with olive oil, salt, and pepper, but the condition of the vegetables inside the refrigerator was poor. In particular, browned garlic and expired food items were noticeable. When food items with an expiration date of December 6, 2024, were discovered, the cast members expressed concern, saying "toxins will stick to you."

Lee Eun-ji showed an economical side by storing portioned tteokbokki and meal kits in the freezer. She specifically mentioned her fandom for a certain chef by noting she eats that chef's meal kits about three times a week. Her lifestyle of putting frozen French fries in a bag, shaking them with olive oil, and cooking them in an air fryer to enjoy with beer was also revealed. However, advice followed that reheating French fries is unhealthy due to the issue of carcinogen production.
"Living organisms are moving"... The shock of the 'gray salmon marinade' in Ha Seok-jin's refrigerator
Ha Seok-jin, known for his perfect image, showed a surprising side when revealing his refrigerator. Ha Seok-jin's refrigerator contained leftover food from delivery meals stored in their original containers. His unique storage methods drew attention, such as keeping leftover broth from boiled pork (suyuk) in a coffee cup or storing a mixture of delivered chili oil and beef fat. Ha Seok-jin showed his engineering student side, noting, "I put the delivery items in the refrigerator and the oil was floating." Additionally, his efficient lifestyle was evident through his "Ha Seok-jin set" method, where he orders food to meet delivery fee requirements or portions out the broth from combined jajangmyeon and jjamppong to eat several times.
The most shocking scene involved food items found in the rice compartment. When a food item with an expiration date of March 9, 2017, was discovered, Ha Seok-jin made the scene erupt in laughter by joking, "I'll wait until next year to complete 10 years then throw it away." Furthermore, the cast members were horrified when a salmon marinade (yeonjeojang) with an expiration date of September 5, 2021, was opened to reveal gray contents and what appeared to be living organisms moving inside. Other items with expiration dates such as November 4, 2022, were also found, revealing the seriousness of his refrigerator management.
Between expiration dates and consumption dates: the 'thriftiness' and 'danger' of the cast
The cast members shared the importance of refrigerator management while discussing the difference between expiration dates and consumption dates. While expiration dates and consumption dates differ, it was pointed out that problems can arise if storage is improper. Lee Eun-ji was mentioned as a case of improper storage due to not sealing items properly, and advice was given that spoiled vegetables must be thrown away unconditionally due to the high probability of food poisoning.
The freezer contained various items, including bread sent from her younger sibling in Germany, sea urchin (uni), and dagger. The cast members concluded by exchanging advice that for the sake of health, spoiled vegetables and old food ingredients must be boldly thrown away.
